  2. if ur just getting normal tickets, as in not gold class, u can't go pass Rivoli Cinemas in Camberwell. The main cinema there is f*cking huge! Very spacious, huge screen.
  3. i guess if you can do most the labour urself u would be saving a fair bit. most the time u can pick up 2nd hand parts for fairly cheap.
  4. DJ984 I doubt they tampered with teh A/F ratio, i don't think they would go out to try and destroy ur car. you would need an afc or something to do that. they most likely did nothing at all, as in no service either.
  5. ur not alone mate, a lot of places say they've done this and that. yet if u actually check it it hasn't been done. btw, do u have a aftermarket boost gauge that ur using?

  10. i spoke to blind_elk the other week, and he was suggesting the same thing. to hold a workshop kind of day where we are taught basic maintanence things. if someone knows what they're doing and is willing to volunteer their place, i wouldn't mind just going there
  11. i wonder if u can get away with using a GTS-T ecu... that would save a fair bit of money, although obviously not as good as a E Manage.

    hey dan, if they're not in by today just go there and get ur deposit back from them. seeing as they haven't delivered by the date.
  13. hey guys, sigsputnik has said "I found that after I switch off the immob and try to start the car as normal," so are you saying that even though when he turns off the immobiliser he can start his car as normal, that the battery on the car is running low? if that is the case then i need to change the battery on my car too but i don't really think so seeing as we can start up the car fine with the immobiliser off.
  14. yep, i'm only looking at running 6psi of boost. now what exact parts are required? if i can pick up some 2nd hand parts for cheap i'm going to do this. like i said, i don't want to make big power, just want some extra kick. we would need a R33 turbo ecu too right?
  15. 2GU UP i've always wondered the same thing. if u can just run low boost on the standard n/a engine just to give it some extra kick.

  17. hahahh ok guys, i knew it had to be something stooopid. guess what? the car was only jacked up on the left side, so the right side was still holding it up and hence the big gap! didn't even think about it. how did i work that out? BIG THANKS to blind_elk who came over and helped me out. took us about 5mins to do the job after he came over lol. thanks again to blind_elk. so changing the shocks is as simple as everyone says

  20. ok all hope of doing it myself is gone. i've given up. thanks for everyones help. man, what a DIY disaster! next time i'll have to watch someone else do it first then try it out myself. for someone who knows wot they are doing, i think it should be a pretty straight forward job.
  21. yer i thought it was a huge gap, but then i didn't take a look wen i took the originals off how big a gap there was. i was just very relieved to get it off. i was actually worried i had the wrong shocks, but then i compared it to the old one and they're both the same. i'm still trying i've taken apart everything and putting it back just incase there was something doen wrong.

  23. Bl4cK32, i am thinking! im thinking of who i can call to help me out! lol. i want the axle to go down, not go up. if it goes up it makes the gap even greater and it will be harder to put on. any other ideas? i really hope this thread is closed soon. heres a pic of the current situation.
  24. Hey JimX, i've tried to use the jack to jack up the shock, but theres really no room there for the jack. the axle etc are blocking the way to jack the shocks? When you say trolley jack, u just mean the ones with wheels on it correct? Sorry for the dumbass questions! This is VERY urgent atm as i've given up on it until someone has some new ideas which i can try. In the meantime i have no car Theres no need to have the spring compressors on when u are putting the shocks back into the car right? I'll upload some more pics tomorrow.
