  1. Car does run rich. Would be a bitch to check the cat. Could it be a vaccum leak as well?
  2. Hi guys, I have a R34 GTT with mods, 12psi boost. Usually when on full boost, it spools up to 12psi quite smoothly, however lately I've noticed it gets up to 10-12psi, stalls a bit, then creeps up to 12psi. Does anyone know some easy thing to check for that could be the problem? I do know my clutch is on it's way out but I don't think it would be causing this.
  3. SPOTTED - New Toyota GT86 on Leach Hwy around 2pm - mismatched panels, must have been a demo of some sort. Very sexy looking car in the flesh. - Grey R34 GTT Albany Hwy from Carousel, thanks for letting me in to the left lane.
  4. Typical overhyped crap. They had hoodies and balaclavas.
  5. Will be on channel 10 and 7 news tonight lads for anyone who's interested. http://www.smh.com.au/wa-news/ninja-robbers-strike-willeton-man-with-metal-bar-20120517-1ys3f.html
  6. Hi everyone, This is a reminder to all regarding the recent break-in's and car thefts going around. I always read the topics on here regarding car thefts, break-in's etc specfically relating to the theft of Skylines etc, and considered it would never happen to myself. Around one hour ago three people violently entered my house and attacked myself and a house-mate with a large pitchfork demanding the keys to my R34 which was parked outside. They used the pitchfork to try and break down my bedroom door while I was on the other side holding it back. Thankfully I held the door and yelled at them long enough for my girlfriend to call the Police and for them to give up and drive away. I do not wish for this particularly scary incident on anyone else so I would like to remind everyone - try to keep your cars out of sight, in a garage or covered up. And always double check your locks etc. These break in's are getting more violent by what the Police said. There was a lot of things I could have done to help prevent this incident but were too lazy to do! Pics of my pitchforked door soon!
  7. Some roundabouts are too small to worry about the left indicator - i.e. by the time you've around to the exit #3 you're already pretty much out of the roundabout, and indicating left would probably be useful for about 0.003 seconds. That's when you don't need to indicate. Medium to large roundabouts - absolutely yes.
  8. You only need to indicate out of a roundabout when practicable (that's straight from the rule books). Big or multi-lane ones, yes. Tiny shi**y little ones, not necessary.
  9. I had exactly these sizes with just lowered king springs on GTR rims, had to rolls the rear guards but not the front, but I needed to keep the front tyres straight when going up curbs etc to prevent contact with the guards. Then I got adjustable coil-overs and was able to fine-tune both sides.
  10. Hey guys, I'm about to fork out a wad of cash for a new clutch, but before I do, I'd thought I might check on peoples opinion to make sure I do actually need one. I've got a 1998 R34 GTT with stock clutch, 200kw everyday "spirited" driving (car was relatively stock before I modified it). A few days ago I did a muppet style skid out of band practice but the clutch didn't fully engage and instead of sweet burning rubber I got a hit of clutch in my face. Since then most drives has resulted in a slight clutch smell when stop driving. However the car still drives fine, does not slip changing gears, and passes the 1st gear clutch test (car stalls fine). Am I right to go ahead and get a new HD clutch or is it worth waiting for it to slip, or perhaps even find if the smell is something else? Cheers
  11. Looked like the same R34 that usually parks it at the bottle shop there. Either clipped turning out onto Manning or maybe boosted into the concrete guards? Was anyone here?
  12. Hope ya get it back!
  13. Same chassis + engine + suspension = boring. I guess it's just like NASCAR then right? Rather watch paint dry.
  14. I used Evolution, gave me a good price for cash and came to my house to do it. Not sure about the other guy.
  15. Thats the problem, they wern't stolen at home and the only other place I parked it was at Carousel shops near the front door, and in the staff parking at Curtin, both places in clear view of security/people. You'd firstly have to know they're worth something, how to take em off and have balls to do it in a public area. I'd gonna be suss on any GTR cap sales over the next week.
  16. Some lowlife f**khead flamin mongrel stole the caps off my R34 GTR wheels, probably either from my house or Carousel shopping centre. Has anyone run into this problem before, and is there a way to prevent it if I buy some more?
  17. Thanks for the suggestion, are you talking about the relay switch I posted pics above? Because I replaced that from the Nissan Dealer and no change.
  18. Lol, nah it's not that far. I'll just bring a few beers and crash on your sofa. I remember looking inside the wheel arch and assuming the wires would be protected enough from all the plastics - but it may be worth taking the wheel off and double checking. I also just Googled how to remove the side fender + front bar indicators so I'll check those today.
  19. Checked both front and rear indicator bulbs, no sign of blowing. I guess it's worth checking the side-fender indicator and front bar mini-indicator? Haven't done yet as it's so dam hard to get to.
  20. Appreciate it dude.
  21. I'll disassemble the stalk to have a look. Checked globes. No modifications to cause the problem, apart from installing stiff coilovers that may have eventually created an earth somewhere from all the bumps.
  22. Updated, I replaced the relay switch with no difference, so it's definitely a short - hoping an auto electrician could sort it out for cash.
  23. Ok went to Nissan dealers a they had the same relay switch. Still same symptoms so there's still a short - back to square one.
  24. Yep sure! See thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/387752-right-indicator-problem/ I basically just need someone to find the short/fault that's causing the problem.
  25. Any auto electricians keen for a quick cash job? Need to find a short that's giving me indicator issues. Can come to you or I live SOR. Cbf paying huge labour fees at a proper shop might might have to if all else fails.
