  1. The line for a spoiler'd boot to swap for a non-spoiler'd boot is both long and distinguished.......:
  2. Hah - nah previous owner had already run 8ga through the grommet - so I used it to pull through 4ga and then sealed up with hot glue. Have a look at my cooling fan setup - it might be a good idea for you with two amps stacked. Can't attach pics from iPhone tho......but they're in the 'what have you done today' thread
  3. Nice install - similar to the way I did it also. I chose a 5ch amp so that I only needed to do one amp install in the boot. I can agree with you on how long it takes - I've done two full weekends on amp and headunit - and still no speakers hooked up!
  4. Like most nismo stuff, the differnces are subtle, but side by side they are two very different shapes. The nismo bar is much squarer - it almost drops vertically towards the ground on all sides. It is certainly one piece. The line that looks like the point that the lower lip section is joining the front bar is a moulding line only.
  5. Correct - the nismo front bar is one single piece - replaces the OEM front bar completely. I don't know if it sits lower than OEM + nismo lip. I've got both so can take a measurement if you want?
  6. These come from here http://conceptautomotive.net/product.php?productid=16195 I'd be interested in splitting postage with someone if keen?
  7. If you're lucky.....I'm nearly up to 3 months :-(
  8. What have you done to help the situation? I understand your frustration but this is the realities of driving a rare car - parts are harder to come by and especially when you're relying on others to fund them for you. RACV will replace parts with second hand parts if none are available new. If you'd done your research you would have seen the rear windscreen that has been on eBay for a few months, paid for it to be shipped and fitted in a matter of days for not much more than your excess - and protected your rating. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/JDM-NISSAN-SKYLINE-V35-COUPE-REAR-WINDSCREEN-GLASS-/170919028906?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27cb9168aa&_uhb=1#ht_1870wt_363
  9. thats kind of why i want to change it - now that the rear badges are gone people have NFI what it is, I even had a guy pull halfway into an intersection at a red light just so he could look back to see the badge! Only issue is I reckon the Infiniti 'Mount Fuji' badge coule be confused with that of Great Wall......I don't want people thinking i'm driving the latest POS tin can from Great Wall!
  10. lol - i didn't know you had that grill! but i guess someone was always gonna get offended by that comment. just grab a plastic one off the net! 122 bucks no worries, bruv! I'm going to attempt to paint mine up for 'special occasions' grill. moving to a new place with a big garage and workshop area so can't wait to get cracking on some 'projects' i've been putting off for a while!
  11. haha - nope - not yeh josh, got plans for it.
  12. Can close thread now. Snagged one from a wrecker.
  13. I have a spare front bar incl OEM nismo lip in Ivory Pearl. might be persuaded to part with it.......
  14. ^this. with Locky's assurance I just bought one this morning. $122 delivered.
  15. plus it look sh1thouse IMO. makes the front of the car look like a gummy shark.
  16. hmmm maybe have a look on here, there are lots of different adapters and splitters that might help you get a H1 globe (as you're buying new ones anyway) to PNP with your D2R ballast? http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?cPath=31&products_id=255 if you swing them an email, matt, the business owner will normally respond pretty quickly and with a host of information. I've bought off them a few times now and always based on the advice they give more or less.
  17. Amp and sub sold. Infinity splts and PAC ROEM NIS2 still available.
  18. yeah i didn't want to dampen your enthusiasm but i think your output pics leave a bit of work to be done. hopefully the D2S's will help - but i also notice that you did some custome mounting of the bulb and i am pretty sure the position of the bulb inside the arc of the projector lense makes a big difference. I think you might be out of alignment based on the hotspots you can see in your garage shot. here is an idea of what the morimoto minis look like in terms of output - and they're not conisdered to be up there with the best of them either (unlike LS460's, S2k's, FX-R's etc)
  19. hey guys, for those who have been inbox'ing me about the screen - i'm not quite ready to sell anything just yet. If i get my hands on a cubby for cheaps that I can cut up and play around with to see if i can achieve what I want to then I'll let you know if i'm selling the other parts off. In the mean time if anyone knows of any wrecks with a S1 dash cubby let me know pls. Cheers Mat
  20. giggidy. good work mate. you're giving me lots of motivation
  21. yes tony it's pop-up. talk away.
  22. Jeez mat I confuse. Might be worth paying the 40 bucks for an hour for an auto elec to sort it out. Car looks mental good though!
  23. Hmm, patience mate, it will be worth it. I'm using morimoto minis - they basically slot in and you screw a fitting rung on from behind. It doesn't get any easier. Hardest part will be trimming the shrouds and housing.
