1. I am getting close to finished on my brakes. Stripped to bare metal, resprayed, QFM HPX pads, Nismo steel braided lines and shiny new bleed screws. Now just got to bleed them without stuffing up the paint :-x
2. Well i have put it between pad and shim, and on the other side of the shim also. I understand it just to be an insulating barrier, it doesn't stick or hold anything together.

Will bleed them up and start the bed in process as per instructions. If they squeal I will be pissed. Ok on a tough stripped out racer or street car with one thing in mind , but on a luxury gt like a 350GT - ain't nobody got time fo dat!!
 3. Hi guys,

When typing on tapatalk on my 4S - whenever I hit 'return' to create a new line in a post, it is fine in the screen I am typing in but when I upload the post it puts in all these codes. I assume b for break.

It is most frustrating.

It also happens to all the line spaces I put into replies made on my desktop if I edit the response with tapatalk.

It only happens on this forum, other forums I am on this does not occur.
 4. Yeah I have learnt the hard way before.

The advice I got from gsl was anti squeal paste between pad and shim - but not between shim and piston.

Do you agree?
5. Daleo - did you use shims/any anti squeal paste when installing yours??

About to put some in the brembos on my v35.
6. Is it noise - or noise and emissions?

I got the same letter about 5 years ago, but noise and emissions. Had to present to Macleod EPA testing station for db and sniffer test - there was no cost for the test. It takes 10 mins and its at a designated time. They aren't that busy so there won't be a delay. It's up to you - you can submit all your documentation - but make sure you get an extension on your test date otherwise they suspend your registration, and you will then need to get a permit until the mess and paper work gets sorted out. Or you just book a 9am test, take an hour off work, and be done with it.
7. Fckn tapatalk and it's formatting.....
 8. I'd guess that some of the entry fee is probably being used to bring some of the 'show' cars down from Sydney also.

No doubt these guys are running it like a business and will aim to make a profit. From the little I know about events, its pretty rare they make money on the first time because there are always unexpected costs so maybe they have built a bit more fat into the entry cost than necessary. But I guess if you don't like that then you don't have to enter your car - you can still attend the show on foot for free.

What I would like to see from the though, is some better communication - they're doing a great job of building the hype on social media, but as an entrant I've only received one email, requesting my payment and nothing else. Hopefully they will increase the flow of information closer to the date once things have fallen into place.

On another note - I went down to the location on the weekend, so long as they don't jam the cars too close together, it should be an awesome lay out and lots of foot traffic.
 9. You couldn't just get the exhaust hangers reset to bring the exhaust up closer to the underbody? If its only 10mm you should be able to do that without too much fuss.
 10. Hah ok, if you like! But my car currently has no suspension or brakes on it so is sitting on 4 axle stands 2 feet off the ground so it would be literally a shot of two wood planks......but I can do that.
 11. Went to bunnings - bought two sleepers - approx 100x20x5cm and drilled in two handles so I can move them around easily. Cost about 15 bucks all up. It's not ideal but the next best solution was the cup kit at 3k.
 12. I would suggest the seals are going in the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder. I had the exact same symptoms - would be fine when cool then gradually get worse as the fluid heats up and thins out which allowed fluid to blow past the seals to the point where no gear can be engaged. Problem could have been waiting to happen, just brought on by the heavier clutch.
 13. All parts gone except boot. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with. Thanks for the much needed cash injection - car is still in a very undeliverable state!
 14. Fantastic news! I have actually just finish building a time machine in my house - it's in the cupboard where I keep the broom. I can take you forward two years and you can have them!!! If you pay me half now, half when we arrive in the future you have got yourself a deal!!
 15. Doesn't clear the rear either.

I assume sport pack v35s have a full sized spare? I will either throw a stock wheel under the floor in the boot or just get some tyre weld.
 16. Would you Consider switching to a non brembo caliper?? By the way- what do brembo guys use as a spare? Mine has had brembos fitted post factory and the stock space saver does not clear front or rear.
