  2. So on average how quickly is it killing them?? i find it hard to believe that they are failing due to corrosion inside of a week or two...
  3. I have been running stock hi-flowed injectors for around a year now on caltex E85 with no issues.. They are maxed so most likely be upgrading to some kind of 1000cc option soon. Who's doing the best price on the ID1000's these days? When you say it kills them what exactly happens? does the car just run rough/miss?

So I took the paper weight down to a few turbo specialists, first place said "its dodgy but should be okay" I asked if they could supply and fit a new wheel they were like no we only touch our own stuff. Second place was like "No way can you run that shit it will explode" they would supply and fit a new one for around $400, $200 if i supply the wheel. Both places were obviously very bias and happy to jump on the "shit china turbo" boat... Also compared pictures of the old one and now im pretty sure the turbine wheel has been replaced cause the cracks look different. I'd say they are all like this but whether or not its an issue is what im not sure about....
  5. Crack. You can see light through it if you hold on a certain angle. I hear you Simon and I really want this Kando stuff to work out cause im a fan of bang for buck gear but it just seems like the more I deal with them the worse it gets... It has more than 1 crack, honestly looks similar to the old one but I can't be sure. It does seem like it could be a result of the manufacturing process because the wheel is quite thin around that area but to me it just looks like a weakness and a fault waiting to happen. The few experts i have talked to about this(without seeing the turbo) have just said flat out that its no good but i think ill have to take it down and get them to have a good look in person.
  6. Yeh the "hilarious" comment was directed at the turbine blade being supposing replaced/fixed. Was such a pain to get him to do anything, I was emailing him every 3-4 days just to keep things moving. the turbo was sitting lost in his factory for a week before I emailed him and then he found the thing.
  7. No idea... gonna have to compare it with the pics I have. At the end of the day its very dishonest of Eiji to take my money and give me something back that was in a similar condition to how he received it. He knew what I had an issue with and if they are all like that then i would not expect to be paying for a new one... Grab a 10mm socket and pull yours off for science.

  9. Sooo which is the better option? seems from the results trent posted there is fark all difference power wise but caltex should give better economy and is a little cheaper?
  10. hmmm I should probably get one of those too! You could splice into the red ACC wire around your stereo, Ideally it should be supplied from a switched ignition source. Ground can be any part of the chassis just needs to be bare metal so sand back the paint first... As far as i know you need to make sure the sensor always has supply because they become contaminated very quickly if they are disconnected...
  11. When you had the engine running with the hoses off did you rev the engine or was it just at idle...

  13. Hey Simon have you got an ETA on the re-tune with cams lol? Im gonna be swapping in some new valve springs soon so if the cams work out for you I may as well slap a pair in while i got the rockers off...

  18. Worked out a deal with him, I send the CHRA back he fits a new turbine wheel, billet comp wheel, balances and posts back to me for the price of the billet wheel. Not completely satisfied but that's the best Im gonna get out of them..
  19. I think he is well within his rights to deny a replacement so its not something I would start a paypal dispute over. Yeh i did that, this is whats most concerning that he doesn't care and won't even reply to my emails anymore. That's pretty much what i was after but no luck Yeh my plan was to just buy a turbine wheel and pay to have it fitted here, not interested in waiting 3 months for a turnaround sending it back to him.. May do the billet wheel sort of at a cross roads trying to decide if i should do springs, injectors, cams and a retune or just fix the turbine wheel and go...

  21. So seems like Eiji isn't interested in replacing this china junk turbo. He ain't responding to my messages... Last thing he said was that he'd be happy to sell me a new turbine wheel and if i send it to them they would fit/ balance it for free. Then I got angry and now he won't reply lol
