  1. so much Awesome!! I really need to visit Japan one day
  2. Just read the thread from start to finish.... Very inspiring story!! love the photography.
  3. Yeh pretty much... That black chaser with the 1jz that i posted a while back made like 305kw, 20psi on bp98. You would think after 60 pages of discussion there would be some more results lol...
  4. Some of that ACL heat shield stuff might do the job... http://www.aclperformance.com.au/prod_heatshield.htm
  5. Thanks for that pic man, I'd definitely prefer to have that seal but mine seems to be sealing fine so far without it... Scottynm35 did a great job on that housing-gate pipe!
  6. Question for you, does that lip on the mounting face of the V-band flange fit into the rear housing and allow you to clamp it? Basically I had the same flange but the rear housing was not machined to accept the lip so I had to get him to send a flat one out. A few other guys have PM'd me saying they had the same problem and had to get a replacement sent out too.
  7. What would we do without these amazing posts I learn something new every time.
  8. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-Corolla-KE70-XX-1982-Immaculate-/130595188180?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item1e68146dd4 this guy has like 5 of them for sale lol
  9. Well I removed it because all the pipes needed to be changed, I had a dedicated oil cooler and it just made sense to simplify the piping to reduce points of failure. The unexpected side affect of this was that it drastically reduced running temps... I never had temperature issues before so to be honest it would be better to run it just to have the shorter warm up period. It seems like you have tried everything else so I thought it was worth a mention
  10. When I went to a front facing plenum I re-routed all the coolant lines to bypass the stock oil to water cooler and I used Castrol radiator inhibitor fluid(just a simple anti rust solution). Now my water temp sits around 70-74 this is with the stock rad/water pump/fan/thermostat, before i did this it would sit around 80-84. Also now it takes like 10 minutes to warm up so not ideal for a street car. My turbo is oil cooled only so this could be a big factor also.
  11. Hahaha thats awesome, your chuckle at the end of the first clip made me laugh lol
  12. does it do skids?
  13. Buy already done, just make sure you spend some time finding the right car and don't buy the first one you look at!
  14. Obviously it was a joke, lol at the guys taking it seriously.
  15. This shit is the reason I do everything myself even on my daily, I don't trust the dodgy kents.....
  16. Sits next to oil cooler, no BOV.
  17. I reckon just use what you already have and see how it turns out.... you can swap a high mount on later lol First video I lifted on the gear change, second is flat Are 33's known to have more grip? My old 32 had stock rb25det @190kw, stock VLSD(pretty tight) buddyclub coilovers and 255/40/17. My 33 made 200kw before the t67, runs a kaaz 2 way with the same buddyclub coilovers on 595ss 225/45/17 and Got way more traction than the 32 ever did. I guess the 4.1 vs 4.3 diff ratio makes a difference here too.
  18. thread must not die!
