  1. Yeh from what i have seen its pretty normal for stainless to be red hot after a 4th gear dyno run...
  2. The pod filter on my car cost me $12 from eBay lol no brand but it seems to have no issues with flow @ 340kw.
  3. Not an issue if you go the tial but im pretty sure the 40mm comp gate flange needs 44mm OD pipe.. Meaning both gates are probably interchangeable.
  4. I'd be going the 40mm comp gate anyway 1. because it should sound better 2. because its cheaper! trent seems to use them often with no issues.
  5. Did some testing using the Profec B as a boost readout. Loading it up to 3000rpm/80kph in 4th then going WOT I see 15 psi @ 3400 and then fullboost 20psi @ 3600. Also had a misfire issue a while back and had to go from 0.8 gap to 0.5 which solved the problem.
  6. Yeh i didn't intentionally copy simons setup, it just sort of happened... pretty sure simon runs the same EBC as me profec b II. I bought the gate and manifold together used for $1100 so not %100 sure on the spring but I think its 1 Bar.. On the subject of cheap manifolds I have had bad experiences in the past with the Stainless items they crack sooooo easy its just not worth the hassle and personally i wouldn't trust an ebay china gate either.
  7. http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=502715&pid=6337507&st=0entry6337507 Graph and a little More info on that sr20 td06l2 result....
  8. Or just man up and slap a dirty t67 on a high mount manifold with a gate then laugh your ass off at people ducking for cover when the gate opens hahaha
  9. Yeh im sooo lazy... I tested a while back but i can't remember the results! Picked up a greddy gauge with peak/warning to replace my stuffed HKS so ill hook that up soon and set it at 1 bar then test it again. As much as I hate to say it the Hypergear things are starting to look pretty attractive if your after Internal gate options.
  10. you get the idea..
  11. I have these defi's but i think a gauge without a settable warning point is useless... so I have a few greddy gauges with warning lights in addition to the defis...
  12. what i do is drill a really tight hole and just screw a brass fitting in then jb weld over the top
  13. get a long screw driver and a hammer and smash all the dirty insides out. Cleaning a cat this way will give you a bonus power boost!
  14. any idea on how this compares to the super copper mix as far as ease of use goes?
  15. WTF!!! I didn't even get a sticker! feel so cheated Gonna be running E85 Arthur? keen to see results!
  16. Starting a museum with his ancient rb20 as the center piece
  17. Yeh stock brakes are good but all too often you find worn rotors and 20yr old pads.... Have you driven with a mechanical diff SargeRX8? guess it depends on what type of driver you are but I find stock diff's completely crap especially now most of them are old and worn... When I say suspension Im talking about the whole package if the bushes are all stock your gonna have to replace them. Im probably a bit fussy when it comes to an "overall package" but when you do everything right they are great fun.
  18. hey simdog has the car got any other mods? suspension etc? if its bone stock its gonna be sooooo much more cost effective to sell it and buy one with some $$$ spent... I know its a pain in the ass starting over and it may take months to find another car but if the brakes, suspension and diff are stock your looking at 5k easy to get that into shape...
  19. I did alot of searching a while back and I think the biggest result on 98 I found was 330 on something like 25 psi... full built motor and cams...
  20. Just to clarify I'm unsure what psi the car ran to make 300kw on 98 with the t67.... I do know that on e85 at 18psi it made 330ish....
  21. I think the T67 hits the sweet spot and it looks like e85 is gonna be alot easier too find in the coming months...
  22. around 18psi, soooo much left in it. shame the injectors and springs couldn't take more cause i was keen to push it hard and have it explode so i'd have an excuse to whack a dirt cheap rb30det in!! haha
  23. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Turbocharger-Kinugawa-TD06H-25G-12-cm-AR89-T3-Housing-/280698122262?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item415ae97016 wonder what that would do?
  24. only issue is he doesn't have access to E85...
  25. Ill try and keep this thread alive! Picked up this set to replace my lost 3/8" repco gear.. Love the deep sockets Got it off ebay for a decent price but one of the ratchets is faulty!!! would i be able to swap this over at bunnings? pain in the ass sending it back to the seller... Also picked up a new tool bag the Veto pro pac xxl-f from http://www.thetoolbloke.com.au/ Next on the list is some ratchet spanners! not sure if i should go the flex head or the standard reversible fixed type.
