  1. Like the other guys said replace the spigot first and see how you go, if you took it to a workshop complaining about the noise then they should have changed it while the box was out.
  2. Spigot is in the end of the crank..the input shaft sits inside it. bearing on the input shaft, some in the rear part and in the center plate. I have pulled apart a few rb20 boxes that sounded similar to what you describe and they all had a failed bearing somewhere.. Pretty larbour intensive to fix so wont be cheap
  3. stock catback with catco cat got me 89db limit is 90db i think??
  4. sounds pretty standard but when you say they pulled out the box did they take the casing off and inspect the internal bearings?
  5. Can you enter if your running an external gate? Would be pretty funny leaving a line of smoldering grass behind you.
  6. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RADIATOR-NISSAN-SKYLINE-R34-RB25DET-RB25DE-KOYO-RACING-53mm-MANUAL-/190586391358?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ASkyline&hash=item2c5fd58b3e How much does the racepace go for?
  7. Thanks mate!! I wonder what nissan would want for genuine seals, would make it easier to get the correct stuff cause its all layed out in FAST.
  8. Called a few others price ranges from $350-500... Saw this on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISSAN-R33-POWER-STEERING-RACK-SEAL-KIT-/170911508160?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27cb1ea6c0 How hard can it be? haha
  9. Nope that was for exchange or rebuild if they don't have one on the shelf... perhaps he gave me the wrong price ill have to speak with them again, I was expecting something in the $3-400 range.
  10. Hmm thanks gave them a call and they reckon $650!
  11. Did a search but couldn't find anything useful.. Need to get a steering rack recoditioned and was wondering if anyone has had one done recently or knows a decent place that will do it.. Preferably around dandenong
  12. Fair enough, brakes are not something you wanna f**k up so its worth paying for labour if your not 100% confident.
  13. You can get the rebuild kits off ebay etc and if you have a compressor then its pretty simple to do yourself..
  14. Mission accomplished then!! Still would be cool to just do a few dyno runs at 20+ psi to see what its fully capable of.
  15. So did the tuner decide 320kw was the safe limit or did something else hold you back?
  16. Re-did the wiring to my 416 the other day, was annoyed with using the stock plugs through the lid so drilled two holes and then glued in the wires..
  17. Yeh just had a look again looks like it was josh typeX results.. So you have a good point then, still a pretty big difference though! i'd certainly go back to the stock plenum if it helped the midrange to match that HG lol
  18. I thought one of those lines was a HG T67 with billet wheel all tested on Stao's car? or did i miss something...
  19. Yeh before and after graphs are in here somewhere... Hard to say if it did anything cause I put in poncams at the same time, boost didn't come on any earlier so I'd say pass. Maybe you could get it at half price if you ask him to fit it before sending.
  20. Nope stock location, i have an aftermarket sensor/gauge and also the standard sensor which I read off the power FC. Seemed weird to me at first too, I thought the thermostat was faulty but I spoke to Trent and he reckons its normal?!?! Apprantly his laurel does the same thing. Im changing the hoses soon so ill test in some water on the stove, seems crazy to think that the water is sitting stagnate and the oil system alone is cooling it.
  21. I always thought that pure ethanol was non conductive and that is was more a case of the contaiminets in the ethanol that are conductive. I mean if your saying that ethanol is conductive then you could also say that regular PULP is conductive to an extent. I might have to test some E85 in our oil insulation resistance tester at work
  22. Yeh I'd be taking a hypergear option over a kando if I was looking today... Have a look at the SS2 ex gate results, it seems to make the power earlier on then fall off around 6500 where as the T67 dosen't seem to reach full potential until 7500 and beyond.. so realistically for a car with a stock rev limit I think the hypergear is the smarter option?? Kando is cheaper I think? but you get much better service before and after sale with the hypergear.
