  1. On e85 mines fills up with water Lololol took out 400ml after 1000kms
  2. The fun begins
  3. Made a new one up for mine the other day.. Needs a wash bad!
  4. mmm might just be a combination of e85, turbo being oil cooled only and a deleted stock oil to water cooler/warmer... Will have to pull the thermostat to be sure i guess.
  5. What sort of water temps are you guys seeing? Been driving in the hills a few times on a cool night and it sits around 65-70 degrees!!! even around town In traffic I never see it pass 75, was thinking maybe the thermostat is stuck open but then I read of other guys having similar experiences..
  6. Nah im a shitty driver and i got an extra 2 doors so should be pretty even Next one is on the 20th, see if i can find something to run on before then....
  7. try different coil packs and/or loom.
  8. Lets have a run at Calder Im on the look out for a pair of slicks.
  9. Yeh Trent seemed to think it would get to 380-390kw if we upped the rev limit, but im lazy and I'd prefer to not have to swap in another engine if the thing went bang..
  10. So had my rust bucket on the dyno the other night... Old setup here: http://www.skylinesa...ost__p__6010134 Added ID1000s, billet comp wheel, poncams and re did all the pipe work in 2.5" stainless(was a mix of 2.25/2.5 before) Tried more boost but it didn't really do much, perhaps a restriction somewhere (runs 2.5" cooler piping, 3" exhaust and stock throttle body) AFM was at max also. Forgot to grab an overplayed map but if you put them side by side it looks pretty similar apart from the extra 30kw up top thanks to the cams(boost was almost the same). Most noticeable difference is how ridiculously smooth the thing cruises around with the ID1000's over the High-flows! I love how these thing feel like your entering warp speed over 6000rpm lol, wants to keep rising even at redline. Not sure what to make of the billet wheel though, perhaps the cams lost a little down low and the wheel brought it back up?? I think Simon will have to give one a shot so we get a genuine back to back.
  11. yeh its more a coolant heater than anything... I bypassed mine and now it takes freaking ages to get up to temp!
  12. LOL you need to get out more man
  13. man im getting depressed just reading that lol Finally got around to putting my car back together just need to tee up a tune with trent... Keen to see if the billet wheel makes a difference, unfortunately it wont be a true back to back as I also added poncams.
  14. If the circuit is protected by the standard size 15A fuse then its unlikely you will burn anything apart from the fuse itself... Be interesting to see what voltage the pump is seeing on your setup with stock wiring, i'd say you would be very close to the limit. Might be an idea to carry some spare fuses!
  15. These bigger pumps pull a lot more amps, not sure what the stock fuse size is but a pump like the walbro 400/416 can pull over 20 amps which is way more than the stock wiring will cope with. I wired a 416 up the other day (used 6mm to/from relay and 2.5mm in tank) then to test I used a bit of 0.5mm wire about 50mm long to bridge the relay, it fried the wire and went open circuit after 30 seconds.... I have done that same test with bosch 044's and 040's with no issues...
  16. Nice car! could you tell me the wheel offsets and tyre sizes your running?
  17. Great job man! That thing was seriously stuck, the super cheap puller I use wouldn't have stood a chance
  18. After a R33 series 1 bonnet and type M front bar, preferably white but not a biggie as will most likely be resprayed. Will pickup anywhere in Melbourne. PM MEEEE!!!!
  19. lol... interesting way to gauge the effectiveness of a fuel???
  20. Plenty of people run the stock RB30 bottom end to 7000rpm... I mean really your making the power like 1000rpm sooner so you end up still having a larger power spread, which is basically the whole point of doing rb30 lol Anyway my vote is for both but if your sticking with the GTRS then its probably not worth the extra hassle for the 3L..
  21. Yeh the one i have in there is the same size, I don't think the height will be an issue...
