haha i finished off my engine and made 295kw.. then sold off the 3540 and baught something smaller, i have an easy 5grand left to spend on engine then i haveto do panel work then a new clutch then a rollcage etc etc so on and so forth.. never ends.. if i hadto start agen, i would do everything at once, not in stages. Because it ends up costing more and taking longer.

there really isnt any point making a limit with how much you are going to spend, because you will never stick to it. By the time you know it 12 grand wont be enough. just make a list and buy buy buy

you dont neceserally need forgies. But if you have the cash then put in either GTR rods or Eagle H-Beam rods with CP forgies. acl bearings, oil pump and water pump, good head gasket. For a healthy engine that wont pack it in after u hit the 300 mark. Make sure you have a good fuel system too. Drop in Nismo or any japanese injectors over 500cc, 500hp at a minimum fuel pump. a good ECU is a must, if you can get your hands on a Power FC then get it, if not a Greddy Emanage will do if you can find someone to tune it. If you go a pfc then get a Z32 air flow meter. Turbo you can use a 30/40 .82 or a 35/40 .82 with a Tial 44mm gate, you can use a standard exhaust manifold with an adaptor plate, or an aftermarket lowmount or high mount. 3" at a minimum exhaust all the way. You dont really need an aftermarket intake manifold, but a Greddy Plenum is excelent if you want to make things neater. Find yourself an R33 GTR intercooler if you can or a JJR cooler will do. Get good quality piping made up. With that you will easily see 300kw. But then you will need a twin plate clutch (ORC 709D) is good and if you are gona drive it hard, you might want to look into a KAAZ 1.5 or a 2way diff.

Billy hair doo i wouldnt considder a R31 an actual JAP skyline.. seing as its a full vl driveline in that thing, 3speed transbreak, borg warner solid diff, 90/10s.. what Ben (thebuzz) ment was a JAP (gtr, gtst etc) with a japanese ecu and driveline.. bills also running a microtech.. kinda get my drift? i mean, all respect to bill being fastest r31 in oz..

make the exhaust go into a Y and twin 3" sidepipes just under the passanger door

put a transmisson cooler in aswell as the rad.. that will work a treat

yeah mine used to squal when the exhaust manifold gasket was cracked.. then it gets worse from there.. tension and lube all your belts aswell

wallet and the latest VPW/rocket cattalogue for your rebuild parts do you thrash your car much? how much boost have you been running?

had this problem alot... at first it was because my catch can was setup rong.. so sort out your breathers and check if theres too much gunk built up in your rocker cover breathers and baffles... The squealing on full throttle may be your exhaust manifold gasket.. Thats a common cause that alot of customers complain about when they say "belt squeal" Also get a leakdown test done and a comp test done.. Because another reason may be too much positive crank case pressure, eg: rings are rooted, ringlands broken, pistons melted. So thats a rough guideline to follow..

did the same to mine.. i bent the lower control arm in half.. so i just replaced that and i needa re allign the suspension again.. id say a couple hundred depending on who does it and how much the parts will cost.

never got a chance to race it with that power.. will be doing it with the new turbo but soon soon thanks ivan!!

no downsides mate.. its a killer cooler. Its a R32 GTR item. Didnt haveto cut front bumper.. i have the nismo optioned TYPE M front bar.. You might needa cut a bit off yours to fit.
