  2. sky30, we left it at one stage and overfilled and spat it all over the joint. I didnt build the motor, MSC Performance built it and duggans rooted the machining, thats all it is, a shit build with a shit machine and an overpriced job.
  3. drifted my brothers 180sx today, 185rwkw 15 then bleeding off to 12psi. 20 mins intervouls and filled up a whole drift catch can (i think 1L) which is a f**kload too much, so kept pouring back into the engine as it was still good. Looks like the engine will be stripped, new block, re ringed pistons and re assembled propperly
  4. ill correct you its good for anything from 6 to 17 psi so far ive tried it, had it on 6 for testing then cranked it to 17 then settled with 13 as i wanted it there
  5. you are using some pretty big cams there.. A few rb30 commodore vls use the TA45 garrett turbos.. they are 1000hp version.. so yours will be roughly 850 - 1000hp... im taking a wild guess..

  8. trent hows the car going mate? was spuen the tailshaft let go on the dyno, cant believe the damage and it was so close to you aswell.. The dyno is fixed all is a.o.k down there, next time your on dyno i must see!!! You guys heading down to winton tomorow with it?
  9. just get yourself a propper cooler kit good choice with fuel pump and ecu with boost control a HKS actuator for $180 or so from SlidingPerformance will be good boost control

  11. hmm duggans machining and balancing did my brothers engine.. but still seems to have blow by.. i have heard a few other sr's have that same problem
  12. isnt that the bush bearing old style 1000hp big boy? thats a freaking hefty turbo... i rekon try and sell your ecu and turbo to someone and if you like big power get a HKS T04Z with a kinda smallish exhaust housing to get it up and running a bit earlier and try source yourself a power fc.
  13. well to prove you rong about the forgies... The guy who built my brothers motor built a 9sec vl GMVL6.. one night of racing with 370+kw at the wheels (3 half tracks and 1 full) filled the catch can to the brim twice!
  14. my brothers motor with forged cp pistons flat tops does that too, i think its a forgie thing? oh and he has a fully race prepped sr20det and he only has 185rwkw (standard turbo)

  17. iv heard the external wastegated turbos are better for response... would someone like to clear that up?

  21. there u go fellas, even URAS - Trent thinks its pretty good. Kazama has an ikeya formula sequential box in his drift car, so their parts must be good.
