  2. thanks for all your advice. thanks heaps. Its true, if you can go out of your way just to shake their hand and ask about a position it will show commitment and determination. i will be 18 this year so i will be driving and i will make the effort to pop in to any workshop.
  3. true, i will be ringing workshops and speaking to them. But going to like ICE performance just to speak to someone is a bit out of the way especially if the answer is no... just my opinion. But yeah i will be speaking to a number of different workshops when the time comes. And if they are further interested i will be visiting them to speak further.
  4. i just posted this because a member or owner of one of the workshops may be reading this, but i wanted to see what was out there anyhow. I will be calling them in the next few months. Where else should i try? JPC? Chasers?
  5. something just happened to my turbo on my r33. When engine is revved and boost is starting to build up it makes a screaming noise, sounds something like an external gate. Its loud, sounds alright but i doubt it can be good for the turbo, took the intake pipe off, very very little shaft play back and fourth and turbo spins perfect, very free spinning also no chips on blades.

FORDS!! its pretty good i enjoy it and i am a pretty good worker when it comes to knuckeling down and getting the job done within a timeframe, but i want to go and do more high performance work and more stuff revolving around imported cars.. i want a challange. Not jus oil changes and services and stuff. But more around japanese high performance cars. Heck i have done all work on my r33 and havnt had a problem with it. Just the fact that i dont exactly have the money to let others do it and if i want the job done properly i would need to do it myself also i want more experience..
  7. just crurious, would anybody that SAU members know at ice performance, racepace, highend racing, protek, bresciani etc.. Would they be interested in taking on a second year apprentice in 2007, Jan/feb. With a year of schooling and practise behind him, 18 years of age (in november) and also has alot of practise on his own skyline r33 gtst and also has his own tools.   12. to make a thousand horses you just need a thousand shot of nos.. Or build a full jun or hks stroker bottem end. Two T04z's or a big 1200roller bearing turbo, some decent headwork and everything else to support... Should be rite.

  17. try some dealers around there, toyota nissan holden ford vw etc... They usually take apprentices like hotcakes.
  18. i was doing 2nd gear burnouts at calder last friday all nite, was loving it. Gotta b quik on the brakes. daboss reading all ur posts, u seem to be a hardcore thrasher... Hear about the new hoon laws? also do you hear how much a workshop charges for a full rebuild?

    guys guys, i am going to a semi slick beacuse i ONLY have the std rims! if i had some 17s or 18s with 245 and bigger tyres i can and WILL run the 12sec i have been aiming for with a completely standard setup. But seeing as i dont have 17s or 18s of that width.. i just haveto use 255 semi slicks

  22. i hooked the boost/vac reading hose off my fuel reg hose like the vac hose that goes to it. Is that good?

    got a quote on mt semi slicks, for the normal ones 255 x 16 its 280 or so and the others (discoloured) are 240, they had to use more powder to break it out of the mould, and the tyre is completely white PIMP STYLE. Does anyone know if that will effect the performance of the tyre?

  25. iv recently installed my profec b spec II. I have sort of an idea on how to set boost levels etc, but cant read that x100 kpa etc. Simplest way of understanding that START BOOST, GAIN, SET GAIN and all that percentage rubbish. any help is greatly appreciated.
