Borg Warner EFR Series Turbo's V 2.0
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Piggaz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Sinco is a very well known brand #teamgarrett -
Have a look at AGL, apparently they're doing 20c for the first year! I'm only getting 22c FIT because I'm going with Origin's Solar system (which is overpriced compared to others, but the only way to get the 22c FIT). Time to go shopping!

Borg Warner EFR Series Turbo's V 2.0
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Piggaz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You could go with a Sinco twin scroll manifold with a big single gate. Keeps it simpler but you still get all the benefits of a twin scroll setup. Sinco manifolds divide all the way to the gate, unlike other big name brands that just stop at the collector (pretty pointless). -
Great work Tao, looks like Trent ramp in the boost gently to limit torque so the stock motor wouldn't explode. Judging by the graphs you could get more boost in earlier but most likely break the motor LOL That comp cover also looks great, much nicer than premium products with poor casting and material missing.

I would go 1.15 divided if I had that setup. DYOR -
Amayama, worked out cheaper than local because I bought a bunch of stock seals, gromets, interior bits and bobs. Vega Motorsports guy has them for GT-Rs at a reasonable price.

It's covid tax, it has ruined the JDM market. Long gone are the days of running R33 S2 for $5k to $7k 😔 That's why I chose to go to town and respray and send its mum.

Lockdown dis dat, anyhow after 3 months of shit just sitting in boxes I decided to do something. Probably the last time I do something for a while too, my back is sore and my hands are dirty now 😅 Was on the market looking for a used one, wow.. people are wanting like $300 for an used condenser, ended getting a new one for $650.

Correct, you would run 2x SSRs. The idea behind PWM is instead of running the pumps at full tilt you just run them at lower duty cycles and ramp them up as you need. Similar to new modern cars and their engine fans, notice it's not just on/off? it ramps up depending on temperature requirements. -

Just above the fuel tank lid, also temporary whilst I work out how I want things to be laid out -

And this is how it looks in my car, the diodes were "temporarily" installed there.. they've been there for over a year lol. -

This is the one I'm using https://www.jaycar.com.au/diode-1n5822-schottky-40v-3a-do-27/p/ZR1048?pos=3&queryId=fb7fb53a655ffbe45e0114ac48e8a107&sort=relevance It is on a fairly large heatsink, this one to be exact. To be honest, you could get away by surface mounting it to a metal surface. https://www.jaycar.com.au/heatsink-to-suit-sy4084-sy4086/p/SY4085 -

@boomtheroom this one from Jaycar, I suspect it's just a rebranded Crydom one. Make sure you use a good diode as the flyback diode. If not, the voltage spikes will fry the SSR. https://www.jaycar.com.au/solid-state-relay-4-32vdc-input-30vdc-100a-switching/p/SY4086 -

Can't see an issue with that. With my setup, I have a DW200 lift pump that runs at 100% with the factory drop resistor deleted and the FPCM disconnected. In my SPR400 surge tank, there are twin Walbro 460 pumps which are connected to a SSR and PWM at 100hz. At idle, they're run at 40% DC. This increases in a linear fashion as MAP increases till 230kPA where both pumps are at 100% DC. The above setup will keep fuel temps under 50 degrees Celsius after 10 laps of Wakefield Park. I can't imagine what fuel temps would be like with all 3x pumps at full tilt. -

Depends on your power goals, but the HDi GT2 cores are decent. Plazmaman, unless you're a workshop with good ties to Alex, you'll be waiting at least a month or two as well. Run a 4-port solenoid off the Link ECU, these days standalone boost controllers are redundant. Good thing with using the ECU to control it is that you can shave duty cycle based on intake air temperature, engine temperature, engine oil temperature, fuel temperatures, fuel ethanol concentration, etc. -

Correct, however the OP mentions either Walbro 460 or 525. -

Get a modern ECU, a solid state relay (with internal fly back diode OR wire one in) and run PWM. No need for an expensive fuel controller and no need to heat up your fuel with a 500+ watt fuel heater -
I would trust a shop that has built more RBs than any other shop or person in Australia to know what they're doing.
