  1. Get a R35 card AFM and weld it post intercooler (cold side). Means you can run any length intake pipe and pod combination without any issues to air flow reading. Also means you can run a whoosh valve without the car stalling.
  2. which donkey told you this?
  3. especially if they're the original parts, they're due for refresh
  4. Beauty! All my issues went away when I went to the cam trigger kit by NZ Wiring.
  5. put in a new alternator, water pump and fuel pump.
  6. HP, similar to measuring your penis from your anus instead of from the base. Still same size, just one has a perceived higher value. We live in Australia, please stop using HP. We are not stupid Americans.
  7. ewww... Minimum requirement is Nistune with Feature Pack. Has launch control, flex fuel, boost control OR WMI control (use the 3D boost table to control the WMI).
  8. Having some buyer's remorse 😅 Could have went towards a depreciating M2/3/4 lol.
  9. This, I sent engine bay photos, exterior photos (many angles) and advised the car has no motor in it due to the respray and the motor sitting at a workshop. Next day, instant approval for $35k cover.
  10. Actually better idea, you and I buy a stock RB25DET NEO AWD motor, I'll take the head, you'll take the bottom end, front diff, etc.
  11. To fit 86.5mm CP pistons, I am struggling to find a NEO head so might end up buying a complete NEO motor to build.
  12. You want a RB25DET NEO AWD bottom end? has CP pistons in it and Manly rods, ARP mains, ACL race dis dat. Apparently Hermit at PRP reckons its strong.
  13. Still looking for one, surely there are people pulling out blown NEO motors and replacing it with RB26.. those RB25DET NEO heads are shit, nobody wants them (except me). Now sell me yours
  14. I would dare say the $300 mark is within reach, especially for those who want flex fuel, launch control, super basic engine protection, 3D boost tables, you can't go wrong with Nistune.
  15. Very backwards approach, get a RB20DET ECU and install a Nistune. Get new top feed injectors and a Z32 OR R35 AFM and scale (change the TIM, TP Load, TP Load Scales) and send its mum with as much boost as possible. Do not use a RB25DET ECU, you can't do anything with it.
  16. @Rusty Nuts that's terrible, glad it wasn't just me with the shitty experience! When you think NRMA, you think PREMIUM service, but clearly doesn't seem like it. I just hope Enthusiast isn't like this either. Just with these boutique arms of insurance - they all seem to be similar, have a friend with Just Cars back in the day having issues getting his hail damage paid out as well. They told him the car was a write-off, yet wouldn't pay him the agreed value and only market.
  17. Well I can tell you that NRMA Vintage Veteran & Classic Insurance is a bit of bullshit. They state they will help organise a tow truck if your car ever breaks down 100km+ away from home. I tried to call and organise that, and somehow they couldn't find my policy. Then I gave them my policy number and they advised they would organise a tow truck and get them to call me. No-one ever called, then I called back they just transferred me to some other department and said look just get a tow truck organised and we "should" be able to sort it out. Not very clear, very vague, I then asked if they could just organise a tow truck for me, so that way it would be in their system. They advised I still needed to pay for it. At that point I was like whatever, just get me a tow truck. Tow truck company then calls, telling me they will pick up the car the next day and also can't take me back (due to covid). Long story short, my mate towed his car back to Sydney first, then came back to Sutton Forest to get me. A few months later (last week) I cancelled my policy and now with Enthusiast as well. $1.4k for $35k cover.
