  1. Prick lol... More lockdowns for us Sydneysiders
  2. Why go through the process of rebuilding a motor and reuse the pistons and rods? No offence, but what a waste of time, money and energy. Also your turbo choice, and flange choice is odd. If I was in your position and really wanted to rebuild a RB20DET (said no one ever) I would get a Garett GTX3071R Gen 2, with a divided rear housing, proper twin scroll manifold (split all the way to a single gate OR twin gates) put E85 into it and send its mum into space.
  3. I've always put Tomei gaskets into cars I've helped build and in my own They use the same grommet style characteristic as the Nitto one, here's a 87mm @ 1.0mm variant. https://frsport.com/products/tomei-1321870103-headgasket-87mm-bore-1-0-mm-thickness-rb26dett Edit: Realised it out of stock and discontinued in the 1mm variant, however you could try channels like Jesse Streeter, etc. to see if they can locate one for you.
  4. Could always pop in a cam gear and advance the intake by a few degrees to make it fun again, but at the same time that would aid in grenading your 6 speed faster lol
  5. Like what you're trying to do! Yet there are still people in 2021 who grind out their cylinder heads to go backwards.
  6. Pretty fixable, a good repairer would be able to throw it on the jig
  7. R33 shitbox theft is back on the rise, there was a good period of time noone wanted to steal them - those days are long gone lol.
  8. GTX2860 Gen 2 will spin 270kW on E85 I tuned one not long ago (S15, Tomei Poncams v2, Supertech springs, usual bolt ons), put about 1.6bar of boost through it.
  9. Tempted to angle my panels slightly up, this would theoretically increase my yield. However will the gains be worth more than the initial cost, even after 3 to 4 years? Probably not. In other not so interesting news, rather boring. My block has been machined, cleaned and ready to go. Head has been skimmed, all the usual shit done to it and valve clearances being set for the brap sticks. This time being a RWD block, with an even larger sump I suspect we might not have any more oil supply and drainage issues.
  10. I have a spare 350Z pedal, PM if you want brah... I ended up sourcing a G35 one because it's rubber, not alloy like the 350Z
  11. this reminds me of my old 180SX, sold it to a chic, who then sold it back to a friend of mine, who then decided to remove the A/C by just using tin snips on the condenser pipe work and the compressor pipework.
  12. if you put it that way probably not, how about a slight haircut?
  13. I don't see any issue, if that means less fossil fuels are burnt and factoring in transmission losses, etc. even more unnecessary fossil fuels are burnt & CO2 is released. Council would argue otherwise though, if we were powered by nuclear then yes cutting down 1x tree is bad, but we are burning rocks. Fire wood lol
  14. hopefully the optimisers do something, if not time to look on aliexpress for micro inverters haha
  15. Yes. The default max width for thumbnails is 250px. That's the problem, you go in and try resize and it throws a tantrum.
  16. Not bad, but looks like I'll struggle to crack 20kWh in winter
  17. Nice man, hope that helps! I really liked the idea of microinverters but reality is, I have no need for them as my roof is flat and there's no shading at all! This solar shit is pretty interesting ay? more fun than playing with broken Nissans.
  18. Update, here's a full day's worth of data. Pretty nice sunny day, barely any clouds in the sky. 6.6kW system with 17x 390W JA Solar panels (cheap shit) and a 5kW GoodWe inverter (also cheap shit). Origin didn't really have flexibility with their package choices but after reading into it and also the warranty plus Origin's guarantee of craftsmanship I was sold, especially with the 22c FIT. We have a North facing double storey house with a colorbond roof. Means theoretically we would get better sunlight coverage. @PranK what is it with these 250px max width thumbnails? Lol.
  19. Going a new OEM one or custom and deleting the crap you don't need like the AFM wiring? AFM wiring actually turns out to be perfect for wiring in an EMAP sensor.
  20. Then all the GT-R boys can do single turbo conversions and pop in NEO blocks to be GTS-4s. @r32-25t you going to redo the engine loom too? I'm tempted at the moment as well. I stripped back the OEM loom and it's still good so kind of feels like a waste.
  21. VIN does not lie! I feel bad for the guy who paid (at the time) silly money for it.
  22. Needs twins to be a GT-R, or be like Advan and put twins in a GTS-4, and put GT-R guards on it. GT-R with sunroof lol.
  23. You're going all out, tits out for the boys haha. Love it. Funny how 5 to 7 years ago these cars cost less than a Camry, fast forward to 2021 and it's Porsche money
