RB25DET Neo Question

Good for mounting hard water lines too ? Used a p clamp to hold the hardline in place. -

All the Nissan 90s tech only drops straight up into a knock table (fuel and ignition tables). Zero boost control for knock. RB20, RB25, RB26 do not run OBD, nor were they tuned for Amerijunk or Auscrap fuel. -
Add to the list: seat warmers, autonomous braking, lane assist, adaptive cruise control, stability control, active dampers, 7 speeds lolol

I hear you, but 5 year warranty and being VW, I want to be able to make a claim without any road blocks or issues. I have my POS R33 for mods, but funny enough I enjoy driving the Tiguan so much more.

and his name is Damien lol The factory brakes are actually pretty tank, but for some reason VW owners don't like running different pads and always end up going larger brakes lol. I already destroyed these pads by going through Old Pacific Highway twice chasing a few Silvias, even they were surprised Next on the list will be Elig pads, and yes the car is staying stock.. the wife said NO MODS (that's what the shit box R33 is for).

How did I ever miss this thread? Love it! Here's the daily, weekender, and casual Type-R/86 chopper. Since we got this car, I don't even bother taking out the R33. The launch control always makes me smile, especially when the haldex kicks in and you get a thump (yeah I'm hanging a piss)

Neither have I lol... I rely on common o2 sensor and generally look at the plugs to determine the fueling across the cylinders (highly inaccurate) but then again all the cars I tune aren't really big HP cars nor are they big dollar setups so individual EGTs or O2s are generally out of the budget. Funny enough a ZRE152R (and on wards) Corollas run pre and post CAT EGTs and also a wideband plus MAF, MAP and IAT, where as 90s turbo charged Nissans ran an AFM, 1x narrow band O2 and they still didn't go bang, also another reason why there is so much room for improvement to extract HP. -

Or EGTs, wideband O2 sensors pre turbo won't last long, will all roast to death. This is why big builds (and HP) always run individual EGTs. -

Well the R33 ECU was calibrated for Japanese fuel not the junk here in Australia. If you look at the tune on a S15 JDM vs an ADM theres a massive difference in ignition timing between the two. ADM has much lower timing vs the JDM which runs much more timing hence the power differences. So no, manufacturers don't cater for all fuels, however they run knock sensors for when you run lower octane and your car knocks off it's tits and it lowers the timing (doesn't really apply to modded vehicles with ECUs that don't knock strategies in place OR when lazy tuners don't setup knock control). -

The only reason you run a particular type of fuel or octane rating is due to being knock limited from big boost, high IATs, timing, etc. You want more power, but you're faced with knock, so what do you do? Go up in octane or jump to a different fuel such as methanol, ethanol, etc. You can achieve big power on 98, but it depends on many factors, and generally all tied back to money. -
better, it won't shit out turbine wheels when you overspeed it by 1 rpm.

Chris' R34 GTT Series 2
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to hoodedreeper's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Should try and squeeze in Tomorrowland (we did on our 2nd honeymoon lol). -
If your fuel reg is working correctly and your fuel pressure is correct based on your manifold pressure, i.e. the tip pressure is constant then there's no reason to reduce the fuel pump's flow capacity. Stock Skylines do not run a deadhead fuel system, they're all pressure/vacuum referenced. If you know what you're doing in Nistune you can get the car to idle at stoich.

Not if there calibrated properly. If they're calibrated properly a roller will read lower due to the energy loss via the roller/wheel contact. Also different tyres provide different readings, you run say semi slicks on a dyno make x kWs and the next day run just normal street tyres and you'll end up with a higher reading of y kWs.

PowerFC delete, Nistune install, upgrade to Z32 street tuna. Ready for dyno in a few weeks, runs an Auto Salon special Garrett GT2871 from the 90s and Tomei Procams. Owner wants it on 98RON only, should see 230kW to 240kW on crap all timing to preserve the motor.

You'll need a Samsonas -
Don't bother with the Plazmaman Street Series, they're as good as a HDi. Get the HDi GT2 coolers, they're pretty decent for the money you're paying, yes return flows "make" power on E85 setups, because that fuel suppresses so much knock it doesn't matter how hot your charge temps (IATs) are. Cooler air = Denser Air = Less knock Time to cut a hole in your body work

Wrighty's 1994 R33 GTS25T
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Wrighty's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
More like 2psi up top, his actuator is weak hence his gate is being blown open by the exhaust gasses. Also your motor isn't tired, I had a motor well over 200000km and put in 25psi into it, last about 1.5 years of track use before it went bang LOL -
Amazing result Steve, glad to hear everything worked out. Being humans, we are attracted (by nature) to negativity, e.g. bad news, bad incidence etc. We always remember the bad memories and not so much the good.

That's great news Steve! Was that your 1st redundancy? It can be pretty stressful but afterwards it's more of a blessing in disguise. I've been through 3x redundancies, 1st one was hard, the other two I was loving life - free money! Also, cut out the pr0n & fapping (it helps heaps).
