  1. wow, solid stuff man - love seeing data, like they say without data it's just an opinion.
  2. Get a deep cycle Optima, they're back to normal again. There was a period a few years ago, when they were made in Mexico they were horrible and swelled OR died within a year.
  3. easiest way is to pop them on a flow bench and look at the spray pattern and flow rates
  4. Lol yeah but there wasn't a real need to make a new topic
  5. Skids in Mexico please, new SAU tradition.
  6. talk to Tao from @hyper-gear he can mix and match wheels to suit your requirements, GCG pretty much just grab an off the shelf CHRA and mill stuff out to suit.
  7. You can mill out your compressor and turbine housing to suit larger wheels, etc. Tao from @hyper-gear is based in Victoria and has made countless turbos for Skylines, he sponsors John Richardson's R33 GTS-t (the WTAC car) and I believe the Top Stage S14 as well. I am surprised you have no idea who he is or who Hypergear is. I'm not a fan of GCG's ability to build turbos, they're great at selling off the shelf items however.
  8. If you're after the minimum fuss approach, my best advice is to get someone like Tao from @hyper-gear to fit a new modern, ball bearing CHRA with a modern compressor and modern turbine wheel to your front compressor housing and rear turbine housing. You'll have a performing turbo, that some what "bolts in" and looks JDM as FK yet performs much better than whatever HKS has to offer. Plus you'll have left over coin for a re-tune.
  9. Because one can assume they're over priced and will under perform against expectations
  10. or just buy my Hypergear ATR45SAT 0.82 with 3" v-band, I'll throw in a 4" stainless intake, a 4" pod and a 3.5" stainless dump all for $1100.
  11. Your tuner is a moron, find a new one. I run 1550cc injectors and my car doesn't die at the lights nor does it flood the engine.
  12. Do not do this on a warm day, there will just enough fuel vapours and just enough air to ignite, just as the match goes down into the fuel neck lol
  13. I would be very careful recommending this. E.g. if you were to splash out on a nice premium PWR radiator, you'll run into issues using the stock radiator cap. You need to use the CB16110 from Tridon or the Stant equivalent, I assume the same with these run of the mill ling long specials.
  14. Too rich to ignite, even if you arched something inside the tank it won't ignite, even if created a physical spark it still won't ignite. Engineers aren't stupid
  15. R35 injectors are a waste of time, stop being brain washed by the stupid Americans. Get some nice 3/4 top feeds, in the right size and be done with it. Make sure the injectors are 3/4 length NOT 1/2 length with extenders to make them 3/4 as they will not work! Some suppliers say they "fit" but really they don't, I learnt the hard way from reading way too much internets. Enjoy the read here:
  16. I would only start to feel worried about oil temps of they're exceeding 140 degrees Celsius, anything under just go hard and dump your oil every 2nd track day OR every track day if you're going super hard. I find the heat exchanger "can" be a nuisance as it pulls your water temperature up to when your oil gets hot.
  17. Still have it, only sold the manifold and gate
  18. Random thought, do you want a spare ATR45SAT with ball bearing centre? ?
  19. How hot was it when you drove the car? I find you always need more duty cycle on the EBC during much hotter weather or simply set it up on closed loop which your Haltech could easily manage instead of using the AVCR.
  20. Anyone want to buy my ATR45SAT 0.82 (external WG version) w/ Ball Bearing Centre, and v-band rear? I'll include intake pipe, pod, catch can, 3.5" dump/down pipe to suit a low mounted EWG setup. Turbo has literally seen less than 2000km and 1x skid pan day, will easily do over 400kW+ I'm selling as I'm going for a smaller setup.
  21. Pay to Play, also whoever doesn't want to tune Nistune shouldn't be tuning in general.
  22. Buy a HPX sensor, install it on the side, post IC Nistune does some "basic" engine protection such as retard timing on knock and setting a rev limiter when your water temp exceeds whatever temperature. There's a new release for boost duty cycle based on flex percentage.
  23. So.. some updates, returned the 0.83 for a credit note and will be using that towards a turbo drain, lines/fitting kit, etc. Also ordered the 2nd revision of Spool Import gears, hopefully it doesn't need to come out again. Lastly, come to an agreement with Sparesbox, they're doing their best to rectify the poor experience and making it up to be by shopping a rear housing at a reduced cost. Guess that worked out ok, just in time for CNY.
  24. Fuuark.. Cootamundra soon?
  25. Rubbish, who told you that?
