  1. on E85 you might get away, but still I prefer7s
  2. Can't disclose turbo choice on SAU, will get flamed you know?
  3. I may have accidentally bought a new turbo ? Slipped on my keyboard and somehow ended up with a new turbo... oh wells.
  4. More like time for a smaller sensible sized turbo if I want to play in this sport, but my heart lies in circuit racing, powercruise and roll racing. Anyhow, not bad for a shake down. A few things I've noticed after yesterday: I didn't seal the sump properly, there's a weep at the front (using a RWD sump on a AWD motor, doesn't seal well) turbo is too big for drifting should have bought a M235i BMW or a 335i BMW lol
  5. Here's a clip of Jono aka Signition (a seasoned skid panner) struggling with the boat lol
  6. So did some last minute road tuning during the week and poured in E85 (because no idea how much timing the motor can take safely so used knock suppression fuel lol) and then took the shit box to a skid pad. LOL... Was interesting to say, things to note: a car setup for the track setup doesn't work on a skid pan very well a big laggy turbo isn't great on a skid pan, comes on you spin out, clutch kick and you bog can't slide around at 4k rpm in 2nd, it bogs, rev it harder and spins out once the turbo comes on (lag life) semi slick tires on the rear not a great idea either (borrowed some drift tyres afterwards) I'll upload some in car footage soon once. I pull I pull it down from my VIRB. Even the seasoned drifters had a go and couldn't slide it properly in 2nd, mainly slid around in 1st lolol
  7. @Steve85 might pick up some better transient response as well as some extra low end too
  8. I would just send the turbos off to Tao @hyper-gear and get them highflowed with near stock sized billet wheels. Don't even bother with the V-Spec, N1 turbos.
  9. That's amazing, yeah keep it dead stock with just the stock turbos re-cored with near standard size with a pair of billet compressor wheels (just because) so the stock turbos don't grenade a motor.
  10. FWIW, I never said they were bad the the previous 1~3 posts
  11. Race Spec Camrys (Camries?), of course they need the TRD badge !
  12. What are you IATs like on a 3rd or 4th gear pull on a dyno or road? Without data it's just an opinion. (You nearly sound defensive) Most return flow cores have quite a bit of pressure drop, I've witness this on a car I tuned before which had a boost source nipple on the charge pipe from the turbo (from aftermarket pipe work) and one tapped into the post cooler side (used for his EBC). There would always be about a 2~3 PSI difference consistently.
  13. It's not so much the FMIC can go above said power levels, it's more so you need to look at how effective it is at cooling the charged air and how much it can flow. Looking at HP ratings manufacturers randomly put on them is trivial. Standard fuels have much less knock resistance than say E85 or PULP w/ water meth. Hence will knock much easier, running E85 your intake air can be close to 100 degrees without you running into any issues where as if you were just on 98RON you'll run into knock, etc.
  14. Nah, who told you that? Any injector is Nistune friendly, especially on Feature Pack 1 and 2
  15. CAS "might" be cooked and the ECU is unable to determine a home signal, i.e. 1x full revolution of the CAS to determine TDC. This could affect your car starting, however without using any tools it might be hard to diagnose. Maybe try record your PowerFC hand controller with a GoPro or phone and see if there's a RPM when the CAS is rotated OR the car is cranked.
  16. You "could" make those baby 570cc work, if you ran water/meth injection as you require less fuel once the mixture is injected
  17. the last coil pack has been turned around so it clears the covers, however you can see the last connector is too short hence the loom is compressed and sits stupid.
  18. His wiring guy probably needs to learn how to use a ruler or go to Specsavers ?? Never ending saga with this car. Decided to get a decent coil kit, and surprise doesn't fit like a decent kit lol
  19. Herman sent the new loom for the coils, looks like it fits well ?
  20. Looking at that, they're just using PPG stuff.. so nothing new there. Why don't you get the PPG stuff yourself and bring it to your trusted gearbox shop to fit?
  21. they are very big in the EVO and R35 world, I would expect some serious hardware for the RB segment also
  22. 1250cc are decapped injectors. You're better off with the "1650cc" Bosch injectors which are actually 1550cc (people incorrectly advertise them). They are not modified.
  23. Buy new injectors, the 440cc path will end in heartache.
