R33 gtst bogging/ misfiring? when losing traction.
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to vxsr33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Could also be your throttle enrichment at higher RPM, it's so rich it is causing it to bog. There's a table on the PowerFC to correct that, much needed trial and error with a wideband to get it right. I generally aim for a 0.5 AFR dip -

Use a HPX MAF or a R35 MAF/AFM on the cold side Then change the K constant to suit, works very well. -
That's right, Golf MK7 motor with haldex however with the beefy DQ500 gearbox. Doesn't feel as derpy as DQ250 box and loves the LC lol.

162TSI Sportline, has all the fancy R-Line features except the dash, kit, 360 bird's eye camera and xenons but I have LED high/low beams and 20" wheels instead LOL...

If you can tune an eManage POS you can tune anything -

So good, even remembers who I am, greets me by my name and remembers all my settings (volume, AC settings, drive settings and everything else). No keys, no buttons just thumb on the handle and she comes to life. Has launch control too ? No idea why I keep building the stupid R33, maybe there's light at the end of the tunnel or it's just stupidity.

Agree, too much w4nk parts. Fast and the Furious was so 1999. Get a a HDi GT2 FMIC, Tomei Dump Pipe (they're actually pretty nice), whatever brand downpipe, 100cell Cat or none, decent 3~3.5" catback (avoid any homo JASMA shit), some form of air filter OR replace the panel filter element (I made over 320kW with the stock air box). DW300 Fuel Pump Then get yourself a Nistune, a 3-port MAC valve OR Full standalone ECU such as a Haltech, Link, Adaptronic, etc. 190~210kW within reach "Stage 1" -
Not as neat as yours bro! I need to make it look good, get internet points and sell the car. Will probably be extremely bored/sick of it once it's ready. So over it, if someone traded me a F30 335i I would take it. I have more pleasure driving the Tiguan lol

Some minor progress, ended up drinking more at the shop rather than doing anything useful lol Mocked up the wiring, the rubbish should be sleeved soon too.

Don't use ECUs made in the 1980s.

Most people love a good dose, just enough so the throttle plate doesn't bend LOL... I said it...... but the new setup will get a BOV lol
-
compressor wheel dictates that, take off the intake pipe and show us (or me) the compressor wheel. Generally 6+6 wheels will dose better

Buy my GT-R rotors, brand new DBA T3 Slotted (F&R) -
Yes the sound will change, also the type of material you use. I suggest getting a bigger turbo for deeper dose. The length of your IC pipe work and IC core size will also contribute to dose.
-
Bigger turbo = deeper dose 6+6 blade is best, GTX style wheels don't dose hard. Older GT wheels spool and dose sick.

96' ECR33 Stage 1 & Future Proofing
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to samw/skyline's topic in Introduce yourself
Unlike APR you can go from Stage 1 to Stage 3.5 without the need to retune between stages. Invest a Link or Haltech or ECU Master get your car running really well, setup closed loop o2 feedback and boost control via 3-port MAC valve. The stock ECU is the restriction in most cases.
