  1. Your setup would have been great, if the motor was assembled properly ?
  2. Before motor went kaboom, stock sump overfilled by 1L Now, 7L ASR baffled sump because I am stupid and spent too much money on my R33 and should have just bought a fast stock car.
  3. same, fresh build, larger oil cooler (19 row to 25 row) However in the past, oil would be about 85~100 on the street, and hard out at Wakefield on a 35 degree day would peak about 120 degrees after 6~8 hard out laps.
  4. GREX plates all have thermostats in them, so it's not that bad, I also run a 25 row Setrab oil cooler (overkill, was like $50 to get the larger one, so why not? LOL) What you can do on cruise/idle areas of the map is run heaps of ignition advance to warm up the motor quicker. Many OEM cars do this to speed up warming up the coolant (do it within moderation).
  5. Your method would work but say if the centre bolt gets loose you're going to be in a world of trouble. I did this, seals 100% JHH Racing oil block, has 2x 10AN outlets, 2x 1/8NPT for gauges and 1x M10 for the OEM oil temperature sensor.
  6. HG makes them in external version too, I have one. Get a Good external gate and run a 1bar spring with a 4 port MAC valve, go from 1 to 2 bar whatever makes you horny.
  7. Okay, how about this no head start but strap a caravan to the missus' Tiguan and we call that fair lol, triple the weight vs the 86.
  8. You're more lebo than I thought haha
  9. Race ya in my wife's Tiguan, weighs probably double the weight too lol
  10. Wow, amazing! Can't imagine that being more cost effective than a tank of nitrous but hell cool!
  11. Haltech Elite 2500, custom loom and manualise the auto.
  12. Convert to TS, fix VCT, retard the exhaust cam by maybe 2~3 degrees - Good power band, good response, rip skids, call it a day
  13. What's your budget? These turbos below are all good and listed in order of cost (my personal preference): Hypergear ATR45SAT CBB Garrett GTX3582R Gen 1 w 1.01 divided rear housing (need a new manifold to benefit the twin scroll) Garrett GTX3582R Gen 2 w 1.01 divided rear housing (need a new manifold to benefit the twin scroll) Borg Warner EFR8374 (but you'll need to get a new manifold, wrong flange)
  14. Updates to shit box, lift pump done. Using a DW200 pump which is quiet, low current thus generating low amounts of heat. This will be running just off the stock wiring with the OEM resistor deleted for less aids Now to the feed, pre filter and flex sensor. That's a shorter version of the continental flex sensor (Not the Micro) and a 65 micron filter. This will incorporate a U turn just to get everything neatly tucked next to the fuel tank lid. Should look super sex once the trim is in. You won't be able to see anything And yes, repurposed my old supply pump with a new Wallahbro 460. These are both the F90000267 version (wanted to keep them matched). Doubt I would need the high pressure relief version. And that's a wrap this weekend!
  15. Heya, Have for sale a brand new set of DBA 4000 T3 Slotted Rotors (Front: DBA4928S & Rear: DBA4929S) Pick up Only, no post ? Price: $770 Location: Canley Vale, NSW
  16. Those flex fuel kits just pump like 40% more fuel in and that's it.. no changes to ignition timing. Get a Nistune and if you wish, get a ECA by Zeitronix and feed the 0-5V output into Nistune equipped stock ECU.
  17. Just throw ARP headstuds into your car
  18. That is what I'm going to get after my car is running and I've provided Tao with all my test data - then upgrade
  19. GTX3582R Gen 2
  20. Jam in R35 cards, job done to be honest. OR run 1x R35 HPX card on the coldside, ditched the AFMS before the intake.. Car will run better than ever.
