GOT SUM's RB34
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to klutched's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Lol he is keen, I am never doing a garage floor gearbox special again! -
Found out each time I spin the motor past 8k it spits the PS belt lol. Was overseas for 1.5 weeks, will work on the croc of shit soon
-
I order them direct from Plazmaman, and also often arrange for customers to directly pick them up from Plazmaman if required Generally all Plazmaman items are made to order and depending on the amount of orders they have wait times can be from 1~2 weeks.

Not to mention you can actually can run a wideband such as an Innovate or AEM or PLX, etc.. and ditch the Haltech wideband box. It's the misinformation and the uninformed that keep saying Haltech is shit or it needs all these boxes, etc. Yes the Haltech Platinum Pro may have needed a box if you needed more inputs - however most didn't realise you could get away with just the auxiliary harness and skip the I/O box. Also yes Haltech E6X and E8X were hated upon many tuners, but that was over a decade ago - Haltech has come a very long way since then so tuners who tell customer they charge a Haltech tax should really be reassessing what they're saying. The Elite series addresses all the short comings the older generations of the Haltechs had. Not to mention their tuning SW GUI is very intuitive and easy on the eyes. FWIW, I don't even own a Haltech myself, I just install/tune them on mate's car.

How's your exhaust system? are there any step downs in the system? Also do you have a screen grab of the timing map? Also yes the OEM GT-R FMIC could do work - however it has been proven by @djvoodoo moving from a stock FMIC to a modest 76mm Plazmaman cooler netted more power, lower IATs.

"Stock" car bro lol.. Also found out why my EBC was being so lazy, somehow the lines going to the EBC had dirt in them lol. Will test the car later tonight and hopefully won't need as much DC to hit my boost target.
-
If you're keen, I might be selling my Adaptronic 440 Select Plug-in as I would like to move to another ECU. Before anyone goes in and says don't blame the tools, etc. I personally just like Haltech more and it can run DBW.

Without an idle correction rate vs. timing compensation table, getting the car to idle this smoothly wasn't easy! Had to pull a few Microtech tricks haha

Gifts run pre Lunar New Year (yes I'm Asian and no I won't go back to my country becasue I'm already here ?). Still no time to throw it on the dyno yet but AFRs are in the low 11s and timing isn't anywhere even barely close to a stock map (actually used my old map and flatten the timing due to cams).

EV14 Injectors evolving .
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to discopotato03's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Also depends on how much boost you want to play with - all a balancing act at the end of the day. ID1700X if you baller 1550cc Bosch Motorsports if you're willing and 1250cc modified Bosch injectors if you're a bit strapped for cash lol -
On inspection, purely to cool the upper area of the manifold, provide water to the bleeder and the turbo. You could go without feeding it any water and deleting the bleeder and sourcing the water elsewhere

High chance that's stock pressure Paul, if they were at 3.5 or even 4 bar you would be at like 50~60% DC haha Downside to higher pressure, the car won't idle too nicely on 98RON as the IPW is so low - but then again as Paul would say it's commuter fuel. -
More like needs a working tacho Hahah.. At present rev limiter is at 8300rpm soft cut and 8500rpm hard cut. #becausehonda

Borg Warner EFR Series Turbo's V 2.0
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Piggaz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Solid effort, well done! -
Keys were handed to a mate whilst it was in New Delhi. Safe to say the clutch, gearbox and engine seem to be working well.

Decided to update my spreadsheet, turns out "cheap shit box project" isn't so "cheap" after all.

Buying a NA R32 as a daily
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to james1999's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
A smart corporate girl wouldn't take a $1000 diamond ring, would need an extra 0. -
Useless information to add (might be useful to someone) R34 RB25DET NEO motor heater core hoses fit on a R33 heater core, as in they're the same size & roughly same location.

Agreed, even a Golf TSI (non-GTI) MKVI would be better. -
