So much epics in that S13, does it still run VCT? -
R33 GTR engine overheating issue - low boost
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Tomak's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Throw your American Spal shit into the bin. Install the OEM shroud, OEM fan blade and a good condition fan viscous hub. Raced my car last summer is 38+ Celsius degree water, water temperature never exceeded 110 degrees. And I'm sure my car made heaps more power than yours. -
and higher chances of you splitting old 20 year old heater hoses and/or crack apart your heater core, best solution is OEM cap, OEM thermostat and an awesome radiator.

Not to mention now you have decreased surface area between pad and rotor. You'll find say a T2 slotted/cross drilled rotor will perform worse than a T3 4000 plain as their cooling channels are just basic straight lines where as the T3 uses that "kangaroo paw" BS which increases surface area aiding in cooling dramatically as the rotor moves.

Misfire on boost under load
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to gach2's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Buy some BCPR7ES gap them to 0.6mm see how you go. -
I never run cross drilled or slotted, increased pad wear for nothing. They are there for aesthetics only. The whole "gas" dispersion theory was based on old style brake pads that contained asbestos. Modern pads are made from a Non-Asbestos Organic (NAO) which contains a myriad of shit (I don't know the composition) that doesn't create a gas layer. The most important aspect is of a rotor is actually the vented/cooling channels between each rotor face, don't confuse slots and thinking it aids in cooling either.

Borg Warner EFR Series Turbo's V 2.0
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Piggaz's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
the T3 collector becomes a restriction... However bleeding off exhaust gasses/pressure pre collector solves that issue - thus you see the same motor/same turbo making much more power by going IWG to EWG off the manifold NOT off the housing. -
It's because the operator on the Mainline didn't use an inductive pickup OR setup the derived RPM via syncing RPM. Once that is enabled you can select show 'Derived Torque' /Thread

Maybe he meant hp -
Nothing too exciting, stock bottom end NEO with new bearings/spool crank collar/spool oil pump gears (so I can rev the tits out of it). Crank will be balanced too. Basic head work, one of Tao's prototype SAT turbos. I'm aiming all in by 4k, and 420~440kW.

Is this engine compression okay ??
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to ruinned's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Make sure you get it with the feature pack. Gives you option of full flex support by feeding the 0-5V into the diagnostic port. Not to mention anti-lag for launch, great for showing who's boss lol. -
at least I'm half way there LOL... Got the single part right and a divided OEM manifold with both pulses split to a single gate hahaha Preachers usually don't practice - you know that... look at some of the world's most "well respected" high up there people (trying to be as neutral as possible so no one has a sads and bombs my house). Anyhow, I'm sure my setup will leave many twin "built" 2.6L guys very sads... whenever it gets completed. Even my old setup left many twin 2.6L boys sad as fk!

Still want a Plazmaman Cooler? -
It's not boost that blows apart motors, it's torque Also being a NEO motor she should be alright with a healthy amount of boost and power. Being a non-GTX style wheel now, I won't be screwing in silly amounts of boost like before.

Not much excitings lately, been busy with house stuff and wedding planning however managed to clean up the block a little. Been contemplating throwing in forged pistons and rods however that's just opening up a new can of worms. The initial plan was to throw in a stocker motor but.... that didn't go to plan lol. So being sensible I'm only installing new conrod bearings, spool crank collar, spool billet oil pump gears and then balance the crank. Just trying to contact a few machine shops but they seem to be so hard to get to. Might just rock up and drop it off. Typical RB cranks, a whole 4mm to drive the oil pump LOL.
