ER34 Fuel Return
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to tylink720's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Avoid the Tomei junk, GFB like GTSboy recommended or Turbosmart options are good. -
NZ R33 Long Term Build
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to R3N3's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Nice! Looks like it works well, Andy from Haltech must have pushed for that. It allows compensation for when port velocity is so low fuel that is sprayed is turned into a fuel film. I think it's called x-tau in other ECU -

Welcome to Skyline ownership, cheaper and more reliable buying a BMW M2 Comp, but here we all are lol. -

Car still might work however the fuel pressure is probably all over the shop like you've just discovered. -

Hang on, are you running the stock FPR? If so, get an aftermarket one -

Try bypass the fuel dampener to see if there's still an issue. R34 GT-t uses a couple of them instead of 1x like the R33. If that solves the issue, then delete the OEM ones and install an aftermarket one like a Radium one. In the past, on S15s (same fuel tank hat/lid as the R34) I enlarge the siphon/venturi and it fixes the issue. Was hoping that was enough for you. -
R32 GTR overhaul/change of parts
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to timmy94's topic in General Automotive Discussion
FWIW, I've used all GKTech, diff bushings are about 5 years old, still look the same (has probably seen a good coupe of hundred laps on the circuit too) Subframe bushing is about 1.5 years old now. Car has seen half a dozen track days since the subframe work and no bush deformation or cracking. Hoping I don't ever have to touch it again (hoping I don't own the car long enough to change them again lol). -

I didn't have it with the last motor, and it visually it seemed fine. Went to 2x track days and 2x skid pans with 407kW. Motor did explode afterwards, however no correlation to not using the brackets. -

Only to lower intake air temps and scrape a few more kWs due to denser air, on E85 you've got a pretty high knock ceiling. Very minimal gains, better off upgrading your FMIC, getting a better turbo, etc. -
Why is my rebuilt diff whining?
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to TurboTapin's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
At least there's light at the end of the tunnel now! I hope you get it sorted soon, and post up 3rd gear skids 😎 If not, my 2 way KAAZ with free R33 shit box is still on offer lol. -
Pretty much no need for an I/O expanded if you have a dash. Also, there may be a new Haltech dash coming in the future, I hope they update the housing lol. That's the only reason why I didn't buy an IC-7, I know it's silly, sure it's ugly but the car itself is pretty ugly too LOL.

Very nicely done! Somewhat slowly becoming a M3 lol. Nek minnit BMW DCT -
Wonder how the GSK gang are still strong and pumping. These kids saw us in town before and asked me to do a burnout, I said nah but here's anti lag. Then one of the boys said we're the GSK, I asked, what's the GSK? He replied we're the Goulburn Sik Kients and popped on his bicycle and rode off. True story.

Personally I find it easier doing the motor/box in one go, aligning the motor to box is a cnut, however my delicate IT hands aren't good at ramming shafts into bushes like @Duncan Just remember to take out the shifter from inside the car, rookie mistake on my part when I pulled out motor #1 with the box attached.

Probably all just realised the livelihood of Goulburn relies on Wakefield Park operating, let's be honest there's nothing else to do in Goulburn.
