  1. that's right man... maybe surface of piston and/or pad had some debris on it? causing it to sit funny?
  2. cool man, do the conversion then.
  3. just saying you're going to regret it and then go ask yourself why you wasted so much time and money on slapping a turbo to a RB20DE then paying $1k for a tune and find out it's slower than your neighbour's bottom of the range diesel golf.
  4. you need a dose pipe 1250cc Bosch injectors, side feeds are gaids.
  5. I think you've done something wrong. I have a 25A fuse on my Walbro with basic 12ga wiring (as it's next to the battery) with a 40A relay and never has blown any fuses. Not to mention at the track it runs 4.5bar of fuel pressure 80% of the time meaning it would draw approximately 17A for long durations. Sounds like you've got a short somewhere... check inside your fuel tank to see if your chemical heat shrinks and/or crimps have come apart and shorting.
  6. Just get an entire RB25DET motor and pop that in. You're going to blow so much time and money and struggle to make 170kW
  7. Run 10psi on a cold evening in a R34 GTt and it will hit the TP Load cut. Rather spending your efforts on a good turbo back, a good intercooler then focus on more boost when you can afford a Nistune or better.
  8. the only downside to Nistune is that it doesn't have any "real" inputs for engine protection such as wideband feedback for lean out, or pressure switch inputs for low fuel pressure and/or low oil pressure Other than that, it's 1000000000x light years ahead of PowerFC
  9. I wouldn't do that on the stock ECU, R34 GT-t have a pretty premature TP Load cut.
  10. I would do some research on Redline Shockproof, especially around those who track their cars regularly. It tends to destroy healthy synchros.
  11. I still recommend a nice 100mm Pro Series core and a new Plenum. Will give max. Street credit at car meets.
  12. Rotor wear looks interesting, sure you've got the right pads? Gearbox oil, I would personally stay away from Redline shock proof, even the light weight stuff. I learnt the hard way and screwed up my synchros in my box. It happily grinds 3rd 4th 5th now.
  13. HP is relative to the AFM, however using those HPX ones inside of a 3" pipe will give you the resolution needed. Just need to be smart with the TP Load scaler I love Nistune, especially with the feature pack. Launch and flex support, albeit I've yet to setup a car with the flex support on it. Should have one of the Nissan Silvia boys doing it in a few months.
  14. hypertune stuff cost more than his car LOL
  15. you you need plazmaman intercooler kit?
  16. Twin GT-RS turbos will be mint.
  17. Sell your car, buy a turbo car spend money and time (that was saved for the turbo conversion on the N/A) and make the turbo car faster. Adding a stock RB25DET turbo to a RB25DE Skyline to be still slower than a stock Golf GTi, heck even a Golf GTD is not worth the effort, time, money.
  18. or somehow you're introducing foreign air somehow
  19. LSX is a pretty nice crate motor.. just slap on a cam and that's an easy 400kW + in NA form
  20. 2x things that come to mind.. especially with our aging old cars. 1. That rubber hose that goes to the aux air control unit, it comes off the cross over/J-pipe.. those tend to break with age 2. PCV playing silly buggers try blocking both of them and see what is going on.
  21. Chasing usable power band, twin scroll single everyday
