  1. just swap the entire RB26DETT into your R32... then again, better off with a RB25DET NEO
  2. yep... I did that twice, then I it started to misfire again and I was like fuark this... I'm buying Splitfires.. so I did. Ended up selling my YJ for $100 LOL
  3. Screw driver if coppers, iridium you'll destroy it that way.. just use pliers and be super careful
  4. gap them yourself bruh! if they're copper, just slot in a feeler gauge and tap the tip with a small meta object.. I'm a lazy prick, so I just bang mine against the radiator support.. works a treat.
  5. a good read.. with data to back it up http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/421392-dont-be-fooled-into-buying-cheap-coil-packs/
  6. They're like Dick Smith shares that were heavily inflated... Buy today, then sell 80% less tomorrow.. wait there's a trading halt.. so bin it is lol
  7. foe shiz.. back in the days I drove around town in my 180SX with a breaker bar wedged into the left side of my seat.. then I wised up and kept a club lock on the passenger seat when I bought my first R33 now I just keep a fire extinguisher and a philips head screw driver in reach LOL
  8. Typical BS... just plug up a set of OEMs or Splitfires and your misfire will go away.. that proves straight away the coils are shit and nothing else is stuffed.
  9. well I've moved to Canley Vale if that helps? LOL Next is East Hills to escape all the asians.. first it was to escape the talibans so moved to Canley LOL (before racist post replies, I'm asian)
  10. I find they're ok on the dyno whilst I'm tuning, great for street use.. as soon as I hit the track and do a few laps.. bamm misfire city! But at 0.5mm it's tits.. no misfires at all!!!
  11. and now you fry tyres for days I've converted you hahaha, preach the good words to the masses!
  12. works out about the same, a little more dicking about.. but you'll have spark for days and easily run 0.8mm gap without any misfire at like 20+ psi. I got a mate who runs them on his SR20 and putting 25psi through the motor and he runs his gap at 0.8mm errday With Splitfires they tend to break down if you run 0.8mm at 20+ psi and with more dwell in them they will run ok till they overheat and start misfiring a little time later.
  13. SMB, Magnaflow are decent... heck even X-Force is ok in stainless (that's what I'm going to use)
  14. I too grew up in Fairfield and witnessed all that monstrosity however, there are still a few kitted up Lancers and Excels floating about...
  15. just installed it at work, Maxx Tuning that is... a few things: where's the map tracing option? no quick VE tuning? no engine protection such as low fuel pressure, low oil pressure, water temp, oil temp, etc. however does have EGT, AFR protection but not enough IMO can't view timing map and fuel map at the same time (then again other brands you can't except Nistune.. I love nistune haha) Decent launch control settings, anti lag settings and also rev cut - especially the fuel cut + ignition cut after x rpm Over all by just assessing the software it's not too bad.. but real world could be a different thing. Didn't know Andy released a new package.. I do like the release notes: Release Note: NOT recommend for tuning actual engines at the moment.
  16. I'm currently running a full 3" system with no step downs, however with a screamer... I will be redoing it sometime this year and plumbing everything back and running a 3.5" turbo back, however I'm going to be sneaky and plumb the screamer back after the cat Smells legal when the gate is shut, not so legal when the gate opens haha
  17. They're good as paper weights. I only bought replacement ones because the car already came with them, after replacing 2x coils and still having misfires I just bit the bullet and bought Splitfire coils and haven't looked back. However if I could have a stab at it again, I would just convert straight to LS coils.
  18. If you're plumbing your gate back 100% go 3.5" even 4". If you're running a screamer, you can get away with a 3" based on your estimate power goals. Bigger is always better.
  19. GUI looks good, will download it at work and have a play.
  20. Bring it back for a check up, I'm sure Trent won't mind or ask for much extra.
  21. I cooked 2 out of the 6 Yellow Jackets I got, replaced them.. then kept misfiring, even with plugs gapped at 0.5mm... so I took them out in lieu of brand new Splitfires.. I now run upwards of 23 psi no misfire Buy either OEM or Splitfire or convert to LS coils or similar.. those colourful coilpacks are all junk (trying to avoid naming names) Also your lower power reading could be from your poor spark performance
  22. GTX3576 in twin scroll, twin gates, twin screamers (out of the bonnet) on a freshened up RB25DET NEO (maybe RB30DET NEO?) would be a response king and make 400kW+ easily. Although, if RB30DET a GTX3582R would be my pick in twin scroll, twin blah blah blah
  23. upgrade to a modern single turbo in your twin scroll, twin gate, divided rear housing fashion... then you won't need to worry about anything like using a t-piece to control 2x turbos, or worrying about 2x oil lines, 2x oil drains, 2x water lines, 2x dumps etc... #shotsfired
