Alright.. what a day it was on a Sunday, racing a car in 36 degree heat isn't such a good idea... It's just too damn hot - but the Skyboat kept it together.. she kept sailing through Wakefield Park, however about 5~6 laps at a time before water temps hit about 115 and oil around 130. Even after all the overheating and what not, still managed to drive home with the AC on So tell us the time right? Managed a 1m12.03s according to QStarz, I'm sure on a cooler day I would be able to get it down to the low 11s even 10s but that's no excuse at all as my mate laid down a 1m9.50s in his S15 Silvia. Car was pretty consistent too, most other sessions was doing 1m12.0~5 but probably need to work on the driving style as now the car behaves completely different. Being an open at (Speed off the Streets) I was often held back by slightly newer drivers to get a few good clean laps, all in all was a great day the squat came there with their cars and drove home without any grenaded motors or gearboxes. Damper wise, started in the middle 6 ouf of 12 all round then started to click up the goods.. Found a sweet spot around 8/12 up front and 9/12 down rear. This did have 1x compromise, made the car a little edgy but allowed me to be able to control the car much better when it was unsettled. Probably wait till when it cools down a little and I'll be back out to give it another shot!

and what were your intake temps? a core may allow you to make the power you make on a dyno because it's placed right in front of a massive blower but on the track or real world it's a different story.
-
Hybrid, HDi cores aren't that good, IATs gwt pretty high on a 13s squirt on the dyno. I would invest in something a little better, I'm replacing my China Racing FMIC soon.

Looks the same, probably no difference

Rb26 Fuel Pressure Sensor Tap Location?
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to etang789's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
just don't tap it on the return line (I've seen this before on a car I went to check, tried to contain my laughter). -
I have no idea Duncan, I purchased this car off Carsales and I'm sure the owner wasn't a car enthusiast lol... it had: massive 19" wank wheels rubbish tyres southern cross sticker on the rear windscreen stupid gear knob, ugly as f gearboots hectic turbosmart blow off valve hectic turbosmart bleed valve more yellow and red vacuum hoses you could poke a stick at pedder shocks and springs LOL and of course, the owner said it was purchased from Edward Lees... so the car has at least another 200 000km on top of it lol within a week, the parts listed above met either the bin or eBay

If you're using Bilstein shocks/spring combo then going to the MCA X-Race will squat less as the spring rates would be double, if not triple what your current package would be. I notice now on the street I'm able to fry my semi slicks (Nitto NT01) when they're cold in 2nd... where as before it would drop and bite. What you need to remember is, when the car squats camber ramps up and also naturally will toe out... to combat this run lower camber and some toe in.. Also a proper diff helps too, I have a 2-way KAAZ diff in mine so torque is split 50/50 unlike the stock VLSD boat anchor which is probably like 10/90. Do you even squat? haha, nose is pointing into the sky! (old SK setup)

buy this shit: http://www.aclperformance.com.au/EU/prod_heatshield.htm it's good

wrap dump, or use ACL heat shield call it a day OR custom dump/down pipe OR just go external gate
-
Day and night difference, but for street this isn't too ideal as it's more on the stiffer side. If you're having traction issues, I would look more into your alignment, subframe bushes, camber arms, toe arms, diff bushes etc. Stiffer suspension means less squat and less pressure on the contact patch. However in saying that, the overall comfort levels of the MCA X-Race is nearly comparable to my previous Bilstein setup however the car behaves more like a go kart now and response so much better to steering input than before. This Sunday shall review all, maybe a blown motor too. it's going to be 37 degrees at Wakefield Park lol

just go external gate and get an external housing

R33 Rb25det - Cutting Out On Boost
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to prawln's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
it's not 1996, buy yourself a proper ECU -
that's maybe a little bit too much toe out for Wakefield, but not going to discount it I did run total 4mm toe out before and on the main straight the car felt pretty sketchy, however that was during the days when I owned the SK Bilstein kit and the car would point to the sky down the straight like a Powercruise car LOL I might buy a basic toe kit and attempt to tweak on the track, but not this Sunday though.. it's an open day so time/space would be a little hard to manage. I'll wait till I hit up another private track day and trial and error the setup then.
