  1. For a Turbosmart Gate?
  2. PT gates, have a look in the DSM forums - guys have had them jam up! Go with Scotty on the gates he has good prices
  3. Good starting point on AFRs.. short and sweet article.. please note this applies to gasoline only.. if you try and use those AFRs with E85 you might end up misfiring http://tunertools.com/articles/AFR-Tuning.asp I'm still pretty new to E85 and only tuned 2x so far, however I find E85 likes to be leaner rather than richer.. I tend to get phantom knock & misfires as the AFRs drop.
  4. Will be happy to split the injectors away from the OEM rail, and OEM FPR for those SR20DET boys who are after them. I've re priced everything after some consideration. $480 for everything, 7x Injectors, FPR, Rail, Straight out/in affair $400 for 6x Injectors, FPR, Rail, Straight out/in affair $380 for 6x Injectors $300 for 4x Injectors $100 for 1x Injector (new) $80 for 1x Injector (used) $30 for Rail & FPR I am firm, don't low ball me as I will just ignore you
  5. Even so under 12:1 isn't the magic number.. some motors like richer AFRs at max VE to keep knock levels down and then AFRs can even lean out to 12.5 AFR as load drops. Not to mention richer AFRs will promote more torque where as leaner AFRs will promote more power... but say you're running low timing at peak torque you also want richer AFRs to keep things cooler on the exhaust side. I really really suggest you pay a tuner to tune your car before you lunch a motor.
  6. You need to do a ton more research Stoich on power is asking for trouble.
  7. I use 10W40 Penrith 10 Tenths and beat the shit out of my car on track days. Motor has about 300 000km on it if you factor in all the odo rewinds from previous owners, Edward Lee's etc
  8. for what it's worth, just go top feeds...
  9. That's fuarked... I personally just go to Taleb tyres and they're pretty good to me (also Asian).. however I'm not your typical small framed Asian and sound like a lebo half the time (grew up with them in Fairfield) so that possibly helps them behave. They let me walk up to my car and inspect on what they were doing... so thumbs up to them
  10. Start reading books before you start anything. If you don't understand basic engine combustion principles then you'll kill the car
  11. Those Davies Craig fan controller probes are junk.. a simple OEM style thermo switch works tits here's a thread I participated in back in the day.. most of the images are missing but you get the idea: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=309986
  12. I can't remember the exact details.. but when I did it back in the days I pulled one off a Lancer and chopped the loom that went with it.. the fitting was the correct size for the Skyline radiator.
  13. just use an OEM style thermo switch that bolts in the bottom of your radiator... you can easily go through the Tridon catalog and select whatever temperature you like.. I've done this before and wired that back to 2x horn relays to 2x 12" thermo fans on my S13 back in the days. Ideally you want one that has some form of hysteresis...
  14. Borg Warner EFR turbo, get a twin scroll internal gated one with a twin scroll manifold.. would be tits especially on a 2.0L cost wise, I don't know if it's such a good idea LOL
  15. ^ lol... I took your word for them and others on this forum and took the plunge, on both my mate's S15 and my car. They worked satisfactorily on his SR20DET ONLY on E85, on 98RON they were a bucket of ass as well. After creating a rudimentary injector flow bench using glass bottles, I can confirm the spray pattern is worse than a super soaker from GO-LO thus the terrible idle and drive bility. I've had it, and not to mention got fked over by a forum member selling me a set of injectors knowing one was dead. I just ordered a set of Siemens DEKA IV 80LB injectors, they have a 26 degree cone spray and have decent latency values, i.e. more injector control... Will update on how they perform - but I know they will be 400% better than these Five-O Motorsport injectors.
  16. lower the compression, run E85 + a Hypergear SS3... that thing will bake tyres all day
  17. ^ ohhhhhh misunderstanding.. you want to know who sold them to me?
  18. Also here's a thread about my experiences with both 1000cc and 1200cc Five-O Motorsport injectors: http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2441472
  19. I've put all the details in the for sale thread - have a read, I'm not a prick.
  20. been getting around 180km to 200km per tank of E85 - just had enough of that bullshit economy
  21. Hallo, Selling my 1200cc Five-O Motorsport Injectors from my car - they are currently on my car running E85. Happy to show you them in working form. Now you're wondering why the flying cows I have 5x used, 1x near new & 1x new injector? I bought the original 6x injectors used from a forum member here (not mentioning names) but turns out only 5 were working and 1x was dead - he clearly didn't tell me anything and we've lost contact. Anyhow - shit happens so I ended up ordering 2x brand new injectors (1x to use to complete the set and 1x as a spare). Currently on my car running and probably making somewhere in the 300kW+ region, injector duty doesn't even go past 57% on full noise at 1.5 bar. Happy to take prospective buyer for a ride and demonstrate they are working and point out the idiosyncrasies - Pretty much these are highflow injectors, so kiss your economy goodbye however if you're building something you don't care about economy then it will run fine as you'll always be above 1.8ms pulse width. Will come with: 6x running 1200cc Five-O Motorsport Injectors (5x used 1x near new) 1x brand new spare 1200cc Five-O Motorsport Injector Factory fuel rail Factory fuel pressure regulator Contact: PM or Reply Here Location: Canley Vale NSW (after hours) OR Milsons Point NSW (business hours) Price: $500 for everything mentioned OR $430 minus 1x new injector
  22. I got angry at my shitty homo Five O Motorsport Injectors.. so I just ordered a top feed kit with Siemens DEKA IV 875cc injectors... broke now.
