go onto the DSM forum, these gates tend to jam up after several hundred heat cycles.. just pay a touch more and get a tried and tested turbosmart one... they're not much more and work as expected.
^ do you have a wideband installed on your vehicle? I suggest you do that (when you get a new motor).
It's the timing map you should be worried about, not so much the fuel map.. Yes AFR is an attribute to kapowing motors, but in this instance your timing map stands out.
I won't say much about your map in public, PM if you want me to explain.
kinda, what's wrong with plug and play?
LS1 coils are only worth it if you're running massive boost. I have a few mates running 1.4 bar on Splitfires and they work perfectly.
a lot nicer IMHO, however you pay an arm and a leg for it. The software is more user friendly and the windows fit things nicely on a standard 1366 x 768 laptop screen
and here we go, just note I'm running 1.2 bar of boost, so it interpolates between 216/233kpa i.e. between 1.16 bar & 1.33 bar.. my theoretic max torque would be between 4000 4500 rpm, but saying that I haven't added much more timing after max torque as the car hasn't seen a dyno yet - waiting for the larger injectors (if I don't sell my car by then lol)
These timing values are some what conservative as I roughly punched them in a few days before a track event at wakefield
Get OEM done, GMB are ok but jiffo or someone else told me they had first hand experience with them weeping.
FYI I bought an entire OEM timing kit (belts, bearings, seals, water pump) all for 340$ delivered to my door step off EBay US
