  1. Looks decent, did you need to remove the dash? Tempting, but the effort and time I cbf.
  2. When's the rear mounted turbo kit coming? Needs dose and V8 chop idle lol.
  3. When you track RPM vs time it's clean, unlike the OEM one, even with filtering there are ripples. Means no random misfires or triggering issues at higher RPM, especially if you have big lift cams and a noisier valve train due to heavier springs.
  4. If you think that's harsh, go experience a KAAZ 🥲 Thoughts and prayers for Dose. I had mine modified by a diff shop to make it less brutal, no idea what they did but it's not as brutal as before. The Asian in me was being tight before and went KAAZ instead of a Nismo, lesson learned.
  5. Try using Penrite 80W140, has Limslip predosed into it
  6. $20K would be a more realistic number with a good amount of DIY. Parts these days all have David Jones price tags on them.
  7. Leave it stock, once you mod, you can't stop.
  8. this... hence I said what I said previously, SMSP nights you see mainly Hondas, Evos, A90s, F80x and the odd VW. The 5 or 6 times I went, I only saw 1x R32 GT-R, and other than that I was the only one in a shit box Skyline.
  9. Seems like the only true "budget" track cars here are Hondas and Mitsubishi Evos. God forbid anyone mention Subaru lol.. every 2nd track day, new head gaskets or new block.
  10. I think you're missing the point here Duncan, I was trying to say that if you want to go fast around and have a spare $80K to $100K, easiest option is to just buy another car instead of modding your Skyline. Sure blowing $80k to $100K would make it fast, but then you'll have a car that you can't drive on the street comfortably. But use that $80k, buy a fast factory car, spend like $7K on AliExpress pipes, email tune, tyres, pads and you can be fast, not to mention now you have two cars.
  11. At SMSP, I mainly see Hondas, M cars, A90 Supras and of course, plenty of Evos. Have not seen a single R32 ro R34 Skyline on the night sessions that I've been to. That's really saying something.
  12. Since the motor is out, I suggest pop in a nice dirty LS chop cam. MOAR of this please:
  13. This.. no one is going into it wanting to "build" a fast track car, because let's be honest you can buy a i30N or Type-R lawn mower and both will destroy a R32 GT-R (even with mild mods) around a circuit. Greg is on the Gregging money here. If you love your R32 GT-R, just leave it stock and enjoy it and If you want a fast car to play with and hit the track with, just put aside $80K for a M2 Competition and keep the R32 GT-R as a weekend cruiser. Same outcome (you have a R32 GT-R and you have a fast track car) really.
  14. this thread delivers, once again Skyline owners, our cars spend more time off the road than on the road
  15. yeah, there's a country that recently started importing Skylines, I blame them.
  16. That's not very Toyota of the Toyota!
  17. The hardcore tracks1ut guys I know would flush their brake fluid every 6 to 12 months depending on the amount of track work they did. Unlike most of us SAU guys, probably flush it once a decade 🥲
  18. Hey team, the R32 ones look different to the R33 and 200SX ones. Also they're sold out on Amayama, looks like some dealer cleaned up the stock.
  19. No concern, especially not on E85 you won't really have an issue with moisture. You could put a ball valve on it and only open it when you're going to punish the car. On daily commutes you wouldn't need it open to vent the crank case. I would say it's above the oil, considering that looks like it would sit above the windage tray
  20. I remember the days when E85 was priced in according to the $ per km outcome. Sure E85 was about 35% cheaper, but you also lost about 35% range... now it's fked..
  21. We had this blend that uses 98RON + 10% Ethanol which brought it to 100RON. It's no longer available anymore unfortunately.
  22. I personally would run 2x from the cam covers into the catch can, 1x sump vent to catch can (would mount this at a low point of the catch can, so it can also act as a drain). I would see if you can run a -12AN down there to improve venting and also draining. The head drain thing, just drain that back to the sump on the other side. Catch can to be vented, unless you plumb or back to the intake.
  23. Yeah the head "drain" is rather a sump/crank case vent. My catch can stopped filling up after venting the sump to the catch can. I have 4x fittings in mine, which is about 5Ls. 2x cam, 1x sump vent/catch can drain, 1x fitting back to the intake and a massive breather which can be blocked so it's a fully sealed system.
  24. Just saw this, redacted names. It's on a R33 GTS-t Facebook group. Looks like still teething issues.
  25. Temu raptor, lol. At least the owner isn't your typical ranger danger lot
