  1. The 2.8L and VCT should help with the lower end of the RPM range, I suspect you'll be pretty happy
  2. @deongster thanks for the details bro, very helpful! Might need to do the same to my shit box one day when I upgrade from the peasant spec 350Z brakes.
  3. I mean wen Aussie style skids? Lolololol....
  4. Woohoo! She's alive! Obligatory question, wen skids?
  5. Probably a good thing she's asked for a cage, only a few thousand dollar investment. Yeah these shit boxes are old and rusty, even though they might visually look good they've had salt plastered on them.
  6. rarely these days, it usually just has jerry cans LOL But at some point I will put in a baby seat, just when we need a 2nd car (rarely).
  7. @robbo_rb180 pretty much if this was individually bolted down OR welded down the driver would have been fine Man, after reading parts of that, I want a cage now.
  8. Read half of the report so far, very informative. Scary the roll cage failed and literally bent like a stick of butter. Also what's shit house was the barriers weren't even concreted in properly, was a clusterfk of things.
  9. Yeah that's probably why they're hesitant, however I'm not going to be professionally racing the car. The cage & harness is purely for a bit more safety over the OEM gear. Will get in touch with them in the future, see if I can get something that works for added safety with the option of keeping the car street friendly when not at the track. And you're correct, I don't need to comply with regs as I'm just a casual track racer and not competing
  10. Trying to find a cage with works with the entire interior with a removable cross bar and removable harness bar. Seems no such thing exists. AGI might entertain the idea of both parts being removable but they aren't keen. So for now, I will be installing a harness bar so I can use a harness with my fixed bucket seat instead of a normal seatbelt. Here's hoping it provides a bit more safety compared to a conventional seatbelt if I ever bin the car at the track.
  11. I only decided to start recording towards the end of the session for some data (just to assess the car's performance and my self tuning abilities) 15 minute session, started recording just after my cool down lap and there's about 5 minutes worth of data. You can see IAT peaked at 44 degrees C
  12. A bit off topic, in RWD (especially seen in slammed S15s at the track using factory torsen/helical diffs) take a corner hard enough and it dog legs and you can't put power down. But yeah for spirited street use, roll racing, drag racing as intended by the OP, you'll probably never encounter those scenarios where one front wheel is off the ground.
  13. There's a photo of his GTS-t lifting the front LHS wheel as he was going predominantly straight. It was more so a tongue in cheek comment as most R32 owners, GTS-t or GT-R would probably never or rarely would be in that situation.
  14. No no no... You two are racing, I'm recording in the camera car, ie the slow R33 lol.
  15. Here's some real world track data from my car. Runs a Plazmaman 76mm Pro Series, plenty of boost and used more than 10s at a time. This was on the 2nd last lap of SMSP GP Circuit. Plenty of heat soak, water/oil temps show. Ambient temp was about 25 to 30°C I suspect.
  16. Naiiceeeeee... Ze Germans have a few funny features in their cars. Launching a SUV, brings many giggles.
  17. And also just remember because it's a helical/torsen diff, if you ever do a Brad Sheriff and lift one of your front wheels in your GT-R the diff will then behave like an open diff (probability of you lifting a front wheel is low I suspect, given the usage).
  18. You've got this car worked out well! Sure quite a bit to change/service those cars, keeping you busy haha. Hmm I've used it on the SQ5 one generation up from your one, which also uses the ZF box. Not sure if this relates to yours, read a few posts down. https://www.myaudiq5.com/threads/sq5-launch-control.3089/
  19. You want rolling anti lag, not "2-step" whatever people call it. Get a Link or Haltech Elite 2500.
  20. Complexity not really worth the effort, especially if you're on E85. That's why noone has done it. Also most of these RBs are straight line warriors so will have ample of air being fed into the FMIC to bring down the charged temps.
  21. No it doesn't, it's purely a secondary rev limiter to help you get off the line. You can dial in -ve ignition however it uses a fuel cut so you don't get the bang bang you're after. Do you actually need the flames and bangs? is it purely for show? OR are you actually trying to build boost to get off the line?
