Found an hour free from the kid & wife, decided that I needed to have a selectable rev limter for skid pans (which I go here and there). Knowing a high RPM on a wet skid pan will just result in too much wheel speed, having a selectable mang mang limiter essentially will limit the wheel speed when I'm bashing 2nd gear 1x can button, 4x limiters: 7000 rpm 7500 rpm 8000 rpm 8600 rpm

Normal voltage drop on boost ?
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Butters's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Shouldn't drop, if it is there are signs of current demand overwhelming supply. FWIW, I run 1x DW200 lift, 2x Walbro 450Ls (via PWM) and voltage is flat across the RPM range at full tilt as per logs. All this is on a Circuit Sports 90amp alternator. Most of the power wiring is factory bar an additional engine to chassis earth strap and a new battery to chassis earth using 4GA audio cable because that's what I had lying around. -
MLR's Bogan cruise ship
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to The Bogan's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Haha likewise, take my shit box for a spin and maybe you'll end up wanting a R33 shit box again lol... -
@Jasoncauser looks like a tight technical track, and definitely fun! Let's hope I make it to that day 😎

Will be the first time, should be interesting provided I actually go 🥲 I can imagine I wouldn't even need 3rd now with the 8600rpm limiter lol.

MLR's Bogan cruise ship
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to The Bogan's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Needs more twin turbos, also will act as mufflers. Car will make good noises, less push rod LS noises and whoosy noises. Public (me included) will like more quiet and whoohy Commodore. -
Haha yep, buy high sell low right? LOL. RS4 is great and all, but I have some inner bogan/hoon and like RWD or at the very least a RWD selectable car hence I own a GTS-t shit box. 1st car was Toyota Lexcen aka Commodore VN with Toyota badges lol.. I "think" the Haltech outputs direct to the OEM dash without any converter box (factory or aftermarket).

MLR's Bogan cruise ship

We should roll race one evening for laughs at Roll Racing. We'll be the 2x slowest cars there too. -
At present it seems only a non comp F80 is within budget, however it appears the F80 M3 is rapidly dropping in price due to a few economic factors, as well as the G80 being an upgrade option for current F80 owners. I would prefer the F80 LCI Comp and my reasoning is I'll modify it even less say if I were to go a non-comp model. That's good your wife shares the same passion, makes playing with your toys a bit easier. Mine tolerates it, lets me fry cash on stupid things like a respray, another motor, etc. does refer to the R33 as a shit box but I'm not complaining

wen twin rear mounted turbos brah? -
@The Bogan very fair points and thanks for the encouragement Ideally having 2x toy cars would be perfect, however space & money doesn't really permit for a R33 and a M3 - unless somehow tomorrow I win the lotto or a long lost relative is so glad to find me and reward me with a new house, 3x space garage and a bit left over for a M3 and in return they take our current place LOL. @robbo_rb180 I technically could dump the R33 at the in-laws, but that has it's consequences (they're asian) I'll hear constant whinging about why I should sell it, why am I just leaving the car here instead of selling it, etc. And then trying to convince the minster of war and finance I need to buy a M3 lol... she has already agreed to the M3, but that means the R33 needs to go for a reasonable price so the shortfall isn't too painful. @ActionDanhaha... mate you have kids, you know you can't just irresponsibly spend money anymore
-
@The Bogan that's fair, however I currently only a pleb shit box GTS-t, it's no GT-R. Just might be faster than a good amount of them around a track but that's it.

NZ R33 Long Term Build
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to R3N3's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Mate, great looking R33! It's not too late to go European and spend your days talking about how you went from v1.01 to v1.03 of your Stage 1.5 tune and now you can bake off the line holding your chai latte without spillage. 🥲 I feel you're at the point of no return now, brace yourself! -
There's a guy that calls himself Boosted International. You're able to request non standard designs off him too. That cost me $67 delivered so not bhed.. https://boostedintl.com/product/r33-gtst-gts-gtr-ashtray-gaugeholder/

I'll do a few track days, have a bit of fun and I'll list it up on Instagram. That page pretty much was to showcase the car and attract any prospective buyer. Ideal state, it goes off to the US where they will pay decent money for it.

The idea sounds good, but in reality my phone would be ringing non stop and I'll be getting hundreds of messages from dreamers asking for test drives.
