GTR I just got one!
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to Old man 32 GTR's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Damn straight, you'll hate the car! Sure if you went to Roll Racing and the strip weekly it wouldn't be so bad, but you don't and it's a street car too. -

Now you're showing off. That's more than all of us combined lol.. my car is done, I've driven it 4x times (includes yesterday) in 3 months. Still haven't tuned it, even Alex from Birrong keeps asking when I'm coming in to use his dyno lol. -

I think you need to really define your goals first before committing on things. I feel that these days it's too much about who can make the most power, post up the biggest numbers (hence the use of hp instead of kW), etc. Go for a drive in a few big powered GT-Rs, drive it to the city and back and really understand what you want in your car. Write down road goals, then select the parts to suit. You'll probably come to realise that massive turbo you want may not suit your goals, needs and/or requirements. At the end of the day, you still need to remember you have a whole 2.7L (unassisted, no VCT or VCAM) of displacement to move that turbine wheel. Probably not a like for like example but for my car but to put things into perspective. I wanted everything on before 4.5k RPM, 4k worth of usable RPM and close to or a bit more than 500kW at the wheels. Car needed to be competitive at the race track, crack the 200km/h goal down Wakefield Park, with also enough power to go have a cheeky crack at the drag strip and do a high 10. I easily could have listened to everyone else and go a big fk off turbo and make the car a pile of lag to drive but I didn't - also helps I'm a stubborn karnt. So in conclusion G40-1150 twin scroll the lot, and BMW DCT swap 😎 -
I think that's called being Australian. I've passed the citizenship test then, no deport to Chyna. (I'm actually born ere')

OEM+ achieved, have a bunch of clips and shit plus the cowl to replace soon (all in boxes). Hopefully someone with a M3 LCI, white, DCT, sunroof, sub 50k kms, near stock wants to straight swap me for the R33 😂

GOT SUM's RB34
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to klutched's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
I paid $5k for my R33 S2 with ABS and all the factory parts (even wheels) thrown into the boot and back seat. Unheard of now. If I knew back then they would be worth $30k now, would have picked up 10x of them and find someone that owns a farm that's willing to hire out floorspace. -

Plenty of clapped out R33s listed for $30k+ (minus the 1st one, that's not bad): https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/nissan/skyline/r33-series/coupe-bodystyle/?sort=Price There's hope for us autistic R33 GTS-t owners. -

@admS15 don't worry brother, Mr @klutched here as started his brain washing exercise with me. I still would prefer someone swap me their M3 LCI for my R33 🥲 -
Hence the new G40 just makes so much more sense however not to say Precision turbos aren't good - they're king of big power.

R33 Gtr V Spec - Importr
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to IMACUL8's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
@IMACUL8 At a minimum I recommend this: https://www.nzwiring.com/index.php/product/trigger-kit/ The OEM CAS is terrible on big powered cars, you always end up with triggering errors at high RPM. Of course a proper crank/cam triggering kit is best. -

It's not 2005, please don't use these pumps. Wallahbro 450L/h pumps are great and quiet too. -
Haltech R32 Plug&Play Adaptor wiring diagram
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to TurboTapin's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
I suppose the two best options are (in cost order): Pin the Haltech Elite direct to your OEM harness, i.e. delete the plug & play adaptor & OEM connector New harness, mil-spec dis dat, IG fame. -
Haltech R32 Plug&Play Adaptor wiring diagram
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to TurboTapin's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
That's correct, there are a few pins that are not used from the Haltech that are randomly pinned into the plug/play adaptor and there are some pins that supposedly should be in series from one plug to other is actually non existent lol.. I just depinned them and connected it straight onto my own harness (Haltech -> own harness) - less mucking about. -

https://www.haltech.com/product/ht-151357-elite-2500-nissan-skyline-r32-33-r34-gt-r/# and download the quickstart then use this to work out what you need, nicely colour coded too: -

Samsonas -
Yeah mine shouldn't ignite, manifold is coated, have a turbo beanie and also the dump is wrapped. Has survived 2x track days like this without catching on fire. Just binned a motor instead when the cam snapped due to oil starvation. Should be putting it on the dyno soon, just finding time during the week to tune it has been difficult. Work being aids 😭 Might see if I can convince Birrong to open up on a Saturday 🥲

Might be worth getting it and saving it for the future. They're worth big money now. -

Time to find an AWD Stagea block, unicorn they reckon. Or 2JZ swap, 500kW at the wheels stock motor on stock studs lol. -

Some super pornographic parts there! Exciting 💦 -
Some billet brace goodness 😂 This is the only billet brace I can afford. Needed a better battery clamp solution as the flimsy clamp from Supercheap wasn't holding the battery in place, especially after cutting off one side of the battery guide on the tray to fit a larger battery.
