  1. Hi, I am working on behalf of the Sporting Car Club of SA to promote the upcoming Small Car Sunday. I have attached a promo poster of the event. Information regarding the event and entry forms can be found at http://www.sportingcarclubsa.org.au/Default.aspx?tabid=79 Thanks
  2. Thanks for the kind words Madaz, your a champ! Hi mxtcy I think I remember your car from the cruise - very nice looking but I would like another two door. Cheers
  3. Its good to get a reality check like that sometimes because it is so easy to get caught up in your own little world. I know that after my accident even the most simple things can be the most important. I wouldnt want to be anywhere else in the world - proud to be an Aussie!
  4. RIP and my heart goes out to the family. Just remember that with speed and power comes responsibility - such a fine line between being dangerous and having fun. I agree with the practice days out at Mallala being the place to be to open it up - too many other things can go wrong on the public roads (animals, people, other cars and trees)
  5. Thanks for the kind words Heslo and Jazza. PM sent to Kralster I wont be swayed to the silvia way - thanks anyway Nightcrawler Im sure there is some others out there so dont be shy!
  6. Hi all, Five months on after my accident in which I lost my beloved skyline and nearly my life I have decided that I want another skyline. I am on the look out for a clean/straight, stock or tastefully moded S2 R33 GTS-t or R34 GTT. If you know of any good, straight examples around or are thinking of selling up then give me a heads up. Special thanks to everyone from this forum for their ongoing support. Cheers, Drew
  7. Sorry - bit off topic Ive been to the earl a few times and had the bulls bollocks schnity. Its so freakying huge that towards the end im resorting to power chowing it down - couldnt afford to lose a bet with mates! I understand your pain madaz - couldnt drink any beer after cause I think it formed a massive chicken barrier in my stomach. Has anyone done the 100 imported beers thing that got going and had there name up on the board? Some guys did all 100 beers in 4 or 5 days - some hardcore drinking!
  8. Hi Electro, im really keen to catch up with you and the other blokes so count me in. Should get the licence back tomorrow so I can drive myself to the gig!!!
  9. Hi, I have a set of stock R33 rims in good condition. They were removed from my car when I replaced rims. They are fitted with near new tyres ( GT radials I think from memory). Im looking for $350 for the lot. They will get you through regency with no worries!! PM me if your interested. Cheers, Drew
  10. Hi Yazman and all fellow skyliners, Thankyou for your kind words and concern. I am still at home recovering but feeling a lot better. Unfortunately it will be some years before im fully recovered and able to get my life back to how it was. Currently my brain injury limits me from driving, drinking, playing sport and doing anything where I could get a knock to the head. I also have lost a lot from my mental stamina, short term memory and ability to think and concentrate on multiple things. I have a medical review at the end of this month to hopefully get my drivers license back. I am also hoping to get back to my work at Flinders uni in the near future. I have bought a new car but it isnt a skyline . I bought a subaru imprezza RS off my neighbour who runs a car yard. He offered me an excellent deal in light of the events of the past months. I am very sorry for your loss of your boyfriend Tony in the accident. I wish you all the best for your recovery and return to study. I also hope that the issues that tonys family have with you can be resolved with time. I wish all those involved in the accident a speedy recovery. Drew

The actual car itself is still being inspected by my insurance company so no other parts are available for sale at this stage except for those ive posted. Im quite sure the car is a writeoff but I will not be purchasing it back for parts.
  15. The car was involved in a head on collision at 100 Kph. Therefore, the front bar, skirts, rear bar and any other part that was actually on the car has been destroyed. I would like to get these parts out the shed so prices are negotiable!

  17. Thanks fellas. I like the sound of the BBQ idea. I will have a think about what I can organise over the next couple of days. Maybe a BBQ in the Belair national park might work. That way people can bring their cars along and into the park. There are some great picnic/bbq areas with plenty of room to kick the footy. Cheers, Drew
  18. Hello fellow skyline peoples its Drew I would firstly like to extend a huge thankyou to my family, relatives and everyone on this forum for their kind words and support for both myself and the others injured in the accident. I wish those who were injured in the accident a speedy recovery and those who died to rest in peace. I cannot remember anything of the accident. I remember passing through strath and the next moment wakeing up in critical care at the flinders medical center. I spent a week in FMC, then a week and a half in the brain injury rehabilitation unit in Hamstead. I sustained: fractured nose, number of cuts, 4 hamorhages in the brain and a few bumps and bruises. Overall I came out exremely well considering the alternatives, which is a testament to the design and build quality of the Nissan Skyline and the skill of the rescue workers and doctors who tended to me. I will be on leave from my work and studies for at least the next month and will then slowely get back into it when my license is given back. My drivers license has currently been suspended due to having sustained a brain injury. I have seen photographs of the car and it definetly looks like a writeoff. I will now begin the slow task of trying to find a replacement and getting it up to scratch. I look forward to seeing you all in the future Sincerely, Drew Sutton
  19. Andrew - so far the cops know it wasn't drew's fault. so as far as we know (fingers crossed) he won't have to pay any excess as it wasn't his fault. i don't know how long it will take the insurance company to wrap things up, but i envisage it'll be a while. Thankyou for the offer of raising money to help Drew, but I think he'd want you to save it and spend it on this BBQ you have planned when he gets better. Maybe you should ask him when you see him about it. I don't know. Sorry buddy Thanks once again, and i'll probably see you sometime in the near future. Dana
  20. This is Drew's girlfriend, Dana. pulsss_8in - thankyou for your kind words. Drew is doing ok. If anyone wants to come see him, he's in the FMC (Flinders Medical Centre). Will be there for at least a week. Thanks to the guys who helped Drew at the accident. You guys are legends! Dana
  21. Hi Andrew. This is Drew's girlfriend, Dana. I heard about your thread and just wanted to let you and the other guys know that Drew is doing ok. He's talking and is coherent, and is slowly getting back to the "normal Drew". He's already talking about getting another car! He'll be staying for at least a week in the FMC, so you're more than welcome to come and see him. Thanks for all your help. Dana
  22. Hello all, My name is Scott, I’m one of Drew’s best mates. I thought I would log in using his identity just to fill everyone in. Firstly, on behalf of Drew, his family and his friends I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support. Drew is a fantastic guy and loved quite dearly by all that know him, we are so grateful that he is going to recover and are overwhelmed by the amount of support he has got from people in this forum community. A special thanks to those that were on the scene and did what they could to help in any way possible. We believe that the initiative and decisive actions taken in this first period contributed to Drew’s current positive condition. I have not read every single posts and I'm not 100% sure what everyone knows but here are the basics. Drew is stationed at Flinders Medical Centre and has been moved from intensive care unit into the high dependency unit, but is recovering well and is expected to continue that way. Because of the extent of the hit he took to the head he sustained some minor bruising to the front of his brain as well as external bruising and cuts to the face. At this point, although we’re all very concerned, it all looks to be very positive. He has already regained his sense of humour and has forced a smile or two. He will be held in the high decency unit for a few days while they take the necessary precautions he then will be moved into the wards. I’m not 100% sure but I think anyone wanting to visit should maybe wait until he is on the wards. (Unless Sue, Drew’s mum, has given you the “all clear”) I have seen photos of the car and it is miraculous that has come off the way he has. It is firmly believed the airbags contributed greatly to him still being with us today. On behalf of Drew, his family and his friends, we would like to express our sympathy to the tragic loss, and give our condolences to the other people unfortunate enough to be involved in the accident Especially to the family’s and friends of the young Festiva driver (Im sorry, Im not 100% sure of his name) .We wish a speedy and swift recovery to those who have been injured. Thank you so much, So sorry If i missed anything out, you've all been so good. Scott.
  23. Thanks for your kind words tangles. Hope your back on your feet asap.
