Hello fellow skyliners, I have devised a draft cruise route. It will roughly be a large loop going through the back of the hills, taking advantage of the freeway and twisty roads. I have scheduled in some check points to allow everyone to re-group and get food, drinks etc. I have photocopied the relevant pages of the street directory and marked out the route for those who want a copy. I drove part of the route today and the roads are clean and dry. Hope the weather holds out for us. see you all tomorrow

Fear not people!!! The cruise is still happening. I have teamed up with madaz who is helping me out. I meet spot has been discussed and finalised along with the start time. The route will take shape over the next day or so. I will PM everyone on the list tonight. Sorry for the late notice - hope I havent pissed to many people off. Hope to see you all on Sunday. I thought about two days notice would be OK..................guess I was wrong. I figured that people would set aside Sunday for the cruise and tonight I would PM the 30 or so people involved. I work a hectic schedule and was doing the best I can. I even went to the city today to scout out meet spots.......... I have a meet spot idea and will PM you to get your advice.....once this is conformed I will PM each person I have on the list individually.

F@#$n hell U guys, calm it down a bit. The reason why I started this thread is because of all the non-related crap happening in the previous cruise thread. I am/ should not be the soul organiser for this event- it should be a group effort. If you guys want to sort out the meet point or route then suggest or say something instead of whining!!@! I said that I would PM people closer to the cruise - I had a bloody busy week and have set aside some time to organise it now-sorry for having a life outside skylines. Its friday night and the cruise is on Sunday- enough time to say where to meet, where we are going - dont need a lot of notice!! I was only trying to help and make something happen - dont know how it became all up to me. I am only new this forum and dont know anyone yet.

OK - the cruise is fast approaching. Just doing a general shout out to work out the best spot to meet in or near town. Please PM me your ideas. Once a spot has been decided ill update the list of people coming just to check we have evereyone. Once we have everyone ill send out PM's letting people know the meet spot. Seems the general consensus for having the cruise on Mums Day is not a cool idea. Like LunaticR32 said: weekend after mums day looks to be OK for the majority of people. This way people can give their mums their un-divided attention on Mums Day and people are still able to go the the first round of the Derifto. So how bout a show of hands for a group cruise through the strath route mentioned in previous posts on the Sunday after Mums day. Buckle up Lads!

That sounds like a plan to me. Thanks Tangles and Vange for the getting the ball moving. Guess we should have a show of hands to judge how keen people are. Let the voting begin. Im in.

Having the start location in town or near enough is a nice compromise for those who live out North and those in the South and everywhere in between. Up the freeway is a good start to get into the back of the Hills. I was thinking that we could maybe follow some of the courses that were covered in the Classic Adelaide. For each cruise we could cover a few of the stages. I know the maps of the courses are available cause I used them to follow the rally and find good spectator points. What do you guys think?

Just a few things ive noticed: I havent bought anything off of these guys but have had a look. They came accross as being typical rude car yard guys. I was very interested in a couple of their cars and wanted to take them for a test drive but they couldnt be bothered moving some of the other cars out the way to get it out???? dont know how they sell cars doing that!! I have also noticed that they cover all of the under-bodies of there cars with black paint? I dont know if this is to hide rust and crap or to neaten them up? They are a bit pricey but not to bad compared with others and Melbourne import yards. If I was going to get a car off them I want to see it before they detail it - one the 180's they had that hadnt been cleaned up had rubber sprayed up nice and thick in the rear arches and one 33 looked as though it was having its speedo cluster changed/ mucked around with??? Could be OK place but as always with imports - buyer be ware!!
