Hi guys, I need some information on the hicass system in my R33 ser1 Skyline. The light has just cime on and i dont know what is wrong or where to start to see if i can find anything wrong. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks

Hey Guys, hdon't know if anypone has come aross this problem before, but am having trouble with my 33. It a 96' ser 2 gtst with some big fuel problems (i think). The problem is the catr will start fine, idle is a little high at 1000rpm, but ok. it will rev all the way through to the limitor, but if you were to hold it at about 3500 rpm or higher it will staret to flutter and the eventually after about ten secs die down and almost stall unless you eoither give it more throttle or back right off to idle. I have been talking with my mechanic and he suggests it is a fuel problem. Now the good thing is that i have another complete car which i have used for some body parts. I have replace just about the whole fuel system (filter, pump, regulator, sensors on the fuel rail, etc) and still no luck in fixing the problem if anything made it a bit worse. We are at a loss to what the problem is and are a biut stuck. Does anyone have any ideas or have they come across this problem before????? Is there a way of checking for a ECU faul????? have just got a quote of Just Cars and they were pretty good for me. 96' skyline with mods for agreed value $1900 full comp. I am 25 rating 1 60% no claim living in albury. Just thought I would let you know.

I have just urchased a 96' Skyline R33 GTS25T series II. It is stock apart from HKS intercooler, 3.5" turbo back exhaust, Bleed valve, Lowered suspension, adjustable shocks and 18" rims (look really good with the huge deep dish on them). But my problem is this. Under load (i.e acceleration) in 2nd, 3rd, 4th the engine kind of stalls and flutters, looses power a bit before it takes off again. Bost is kickiing in about 2.5 - 3 grand, but teathers out at about 5.5 - 6 grand untill it decides to take off again at about 7 grand. It is almost like it is missing at high load. I have spoken to a few people and they say that it could be fuel related, others say that it could be electrical. I just don't know. What I want to know is there anyone who has a idea of what it could be? Any ideas would be great.
