  1. I tend to agree with KILLER-T as I had this problem and when I look it was this silicon crap coming from the boot around the Radius rod bushes, get under the car and pull back the boot and see if is full of this clear oily sutff. my 2 cents :ak47:
  2. Hey that is a cool I idea, hmmmmmmm what would I like to have SAU 033 hehe
  3. KILLER-T Hi mate, reading what has been happening, get back to me if you want to see if the one I have is any good or if you want a Plenum to run around on while waiting to get yours back from SUB-ZERO. Funny about the talk we had now when you come to think about it. Chill dude Danny :uh-huh:
  4. No, never on the street, just tests on track and certain back roads, it is very scary stuff and Im always worried about the engine going bang. But it is very hard to do testing as there is not many places over east that will let you on the rollers to do set ups (it is an insurance thing). I get really worried about heat as once the NOS is 'hit' there is a raise of about 20c just in exhaust temps along. So unless Im know that 'something' is on I run around disconnected. Are you thinking about a set up paul?? :uh-huh:
  5. Slayer, The other way is to use a MSD window that is set via 'PILLS' at certain rev limits. Once the 'armed' switch is made the NOS comes on at a per determined value eg 3500rpm and then shut down and 6300rpm. Mine also has a timer so that if it reaches a set time eg 2-3sec it will shut or whichever is first. This is also used with a set fuel map and retarded ignition map which is selected to retard the timing (stop detenation) when using NOS. The big killer when using NOS is that it creates and HUGE amount of HEAT. The wet system helps in cooling by using fuel to cool the cylinders down. That should make it as clear as mud heheh but I hope it helps. :jump:
  6. That more like it and welcome to the 300++ club, I suppose the PAS is the next place for you as I think they were looking at cars that can do that and more I was talking to bully who said that the dyno was dodgy and the owners didnt like the RICE boys winning. Im lead to believe you only were allowed 2 runs and the the TREVs were allowed up to 8 ?? Well done anyway good to HPI do the job and keep going I think with your set up you should get the 400 mark. :pissed:
  7. WELL DONE KILLER-T Is that with all the work done now, and has your FC been completely tuned or is there still more, sounds a little too low and maybe the Dyno is reading wrong, you should be pulling 300++ with your mods, anyway keep up the good work and have fun mate. CHeers :ak47:
  8. Well done REV, Now we can run NOS together hehehe (we will need new pants each time though) 4OrCed, I have been running NOS for awhile now :burnout:
  9. Strich, You are only a snap of the fingers away from a get time, your'll get there. Did you get my PM dude??? :burnout:
  10. Check PM Dude:ak47:
  11. Check PM dude:shake:
  12. Well done guys, Keep up the good work, it is a case of practice, practice and even more practice. See you all in the 12sec ZONE
  13. Thanks dude, All I know is the for ZOOM it is more about the Performance side of things as they have good looking liners coming out of every hole, so the engine mods/stats and inside of the car will feature most I think, he did say that some others (overseas mags) are happy with just the look type of shots, but Rick said he to spend a couple of hours on the shoot including a couple of drive by shots, so looking forward to it and of course it is FREE
  14. Hi Guys, Dont know if this should be a thread or not, but have to brag every now and again (not like pauly who does all the time), but if you have a copy of the lastest ZOOM #63 and turn to page 81, there is a photo of the my car as I showed it for AUTO EXPO (with HKS 'rice' stickers on it) . Since then I have been contacted by Rick Mcdowell who is the Journo for Express Publications and he is going to do a photo feature of the car for ZOOM and HPI. It will then make its way to PERTH STREET. Yeah pretty happy about it and hope to push Rick to taking Photo's at PAS of all the Skyliners that will be there and SAU members. Anyway, Thanks for letting me have my Five minutes of glory. :jump:
  15. GUYS, Sounds like it has gotten out of hand. The main reason for me was there are a lot of liners out there now and i wanted to stand out in the crowd. I wanted to be different so I placed some decals on the car, the theme was F&F. The car was also a show car and the look made people come and view my car a lot closer than they normally would. Reading what people have to say here has reminded me why I did the decals. I love people looking at my car, turning their heads around for another look as I went by, people would come up and say g'day and say it looked great, than made me happy and put a smile on their faces. If it puts a different smile on other peoples face, I have achieved my outcome of making them smile. KILLER - T Thanks mate, I hope I can keep up with you now,(SEE YOU IN THE 12sec ZONE) SHUTO-BOY Thanks dude, but time for a change before PAS (stay tuned) ZANDA,CAMPINPERTH Thanks for your support EVERYONE ELSE, I respect your right for you have your own opinion, freedom of speech rox. :jump:
  16. MTFBWU :pissed:
  17. no no really guys, go ahead, take the p1ss out of me and the car, now I have a huge complex , lucky I have the grunt where is counts to keep most of you in your place. hehehehe :Owned:
  18. THATS IT,, Im taking all my DECALS off, cant believe so many people bagging cars with them on, I wonder now just how many people were bagging my car I was just trying to personalise my car but the F&F theme seems to be overdone. Will have to get new set, dont like airbrush because it is too premenent, oh well, it looked good while it lasted.
  19. eriktufa, There is another thread on just this very problem, you need to go and look at the advice that was given in those threads dude. :rave:
  20. GOTRICE, Check PM dude:)
  21. EXIT, There seems to be probs with liners that have got aftermarket BOV's, it seems that if the orginal BOV is not blanked off you will have idle problems, but they should be overcome once the car has been running for awhile. There is a device by HKS (Idle stabiliser) that can remove this problem. There is of course a few other things such as computer, airflow sensor and cold start sensor that might also be sick, but that is a little info to help. PS Once you lose power to the car, the power steering doesnt work so car is very hard to drive (steer, control) but you can still drive the car, just need to be superman to turn the steering wheel.
