  1. I take it this will come with a spot for a over flow bottle hose? Whats the best way to control the thermo fan? using a thermo switch like pwr sell ? http://www.pwr.com.au/#/view=products/s=as/ I run a pfc so i dont think it will control it. Will there be a spot on the radiator to screw the switch in ? according to pwr they turn the fan on at 90 and off at 85. As soon as i hear back from fatz ill deposit the money. Some advice on this would be good. Thanks Tim.
  2. fatz you have a pm. Ill get one if you can tell us what the new price is. Also .... can we get one without the power steer cooler for the original price ?
  3. Will these bolt straight in? and with a good size thermo fan, will it clear everything in a factory engine bay ? Also waiting for a price on the thermo fan to suit. Would this be over kill for a predominantly street driven car with approx 350 AWKW ? Thanks Tim.
  4. Check out this short video I took on the day. Tim.
  5. How much ground clearance does this leave you once fitted ?
  6. If I got the dual 12inch kit i would need to cut about 3 cm's out of the bottom of the shroud then seal it up again so no air escapes. I supose that isnt impossible.
  7. Some good stuff on here: http://www.a1electric.com/spal/faninfo.htm http://www.a1electric.com/catalog/cat_spal.htm I wonder if the big 3000 cfm 16 inch fan would do the trick on my standard radiator. It would cover 3/4 of it. I then also have the option of leaving one of my davies craig 10inch fans in the space that is left. I would have to keep the standard readialtor though for it to fit and even then it would be tight. Ultimately I would get this but its a bit too big i think. http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/mercha...de=30102130-KIT
  8. On the falken website they dont list my size in the rt615's. I think ill just have to go the RS-R's. Unless someone can suggest something more suitable ? Or are the RSR's very suitable ??
  9. Yea car is used on weekends and for motorkhana's, drags, hill climbs etc. I know RS-Rs would be great for these events but they also need to do about 5000 ks per year on the road. I will have a look into the rt615's. i was quoted 310$ per tyre for 255/35/18's for the RS-R's which is the size i need. I dont think that is a bad price? Tim.
  10. Looks great juggernaut1. I wish I had the room that you do. Could you tell me the dimensions of the shroud and fan? especially the depth/thinkness as that is where iam most short on space. Thanks Tim.
  11. If your clutch fan works fine now id probably just stick to that. Its only that mine started locking on and making some bad noises that I tried thermo fans. Like I have said a new clutch is very expensive and that is part of the reason why Iam am trying to make thermos work. The other reasons are the slightly better throttle response and accelerartion/power they give. I know some will say that it would hardly be noticable but I believe it is. They are also quieter overall and tidy up an engine bay. I would think no single electric thermo fan would work good enough in the standard shroud. As blind elk said The problem with using thermos is getting the air to flow through the radiator. From what I have read and found out the best set up is a complete dual fan and factory shroud setup from another car such as an EL falcon. I just want to hear from someone who done this or seen it done with good results.
  12. RS-R = 140 tread wear rating RS = 180 KU36 = 180 Iam considering RSR's for the front of mine but not sure if they are overkill for what I use my car for. I would get the KU36's but they dont make them in my size. Tim.
  13. yea I have considered it but what do I do then? Much less chance then of making a decent thermo fan setup fit due to the extra core thickness. Or does someone know of good thermos that will fit a 32 GTR on a thicker then standard radiator? If all else fails i will just have to pay for a new clutch fan and i will upgrade the radiator then.
  14. No I have the standard radiator. I think it is up to the task with a decent fan set up. I dont really circuit race the car which by the way is a 32 GTR with about 310 rwkw. I do events like hill climbs and drags etc. If I was to upgrade the radiator there definitely would be room for a set up such as EL thermos. Iam open to suggestions though.
  15. Before Summer hits Iam am very keen to upgrade my thermo fans so they actually work. A few years ago my clutch fan died and instead of paying the $400 plus to get a new one (wouldnt trust a 2nd hand one), I fitted 2 davies craig fans with no shroud. Of course this set up is just not up to the task and I know why. I have searched and I understand the pros and cons of clutch fan v thermos. Iam really determined to make thermos work and Iam willing to spend the time and $$ to achieve this. Id like to hear from those who have got good results from them and how you did it. Id like to keep temps at mid to high 80's on the dyno and in staging lanes ect on warm days. I was going to buy some EL/EF ford thermos which come with a shroud and apparently have been used on skylines before. But after measuring it up it seems they are just too big to fit? Thanks Tim.
  16. sorry if you have already said ...... but about how long before I recieve these mats ? Thanks Tim.
  17. payment and email sent.
  18. Ok decided to take the chance and try these in my GTR. Tim Bentley/R32 GTR Nissan/Grafite/5 Mats/Heel Pad with nissan Logo/NSW ....... With GTR logo on the front matts only. I will be making the payment and sending the email on Monday. Thanks. Tim.
  19. If they are black ill take a set. Tim.
  20. These fit a 32 GTR ? They seem to be a light grey in colour. Can they be made in black ?
  21. Has anyone else fitted these mats to a 32 GTR ? Id like to know how well they fitted. Also .... can we get the GTR logo on them ? Thanks Tim.
  22. As soon as someone can confirm that these mats fit a 32 GTR really well I will order some. Tim.
  23. How much for 2 in 255/35/18 sent to Bathurst? Thanks Tim.
  24. Hi just wondering if 265 wide tyres in 35 series would be too wide for 9 inch wide rims ? I have been running 255's in 35 series but id like to get some KU36's and they dont make that size. Is it going to cause me problems? I use the car mainly on the street but also for hill climbs, motor khanas and drags etc. Thanks Tim.
