  1. I have just ordered some WORK XD9's which are 18 x 9 in size, with a +20 offset. If possible, I want to run 265's all round. Does anyone know if 265's with that offset will cause me problems on an R32 GTR? I know that 265's are wide for a 9 inch rim, but will it effect the handling a noticible amount? Thanks Tim.
  2. I hope to make it to this one.
  3. Thanks Zebbie. That sounds like the sort of shop Iam after. What about a good smash repair shop? Thanks Tim.
  4. Thats ok, I used to live in the Blue Mountains and took my car to Steves Auto Barn. He does a good job and has 2 Skylines of his own. Its the same shop that built Buster's car. Its only an hour from here so I will continue to go there. Also I have seen at least 7 different Skylines getting around town including 2 GTR's and a few GTST's with front mounts ect And yes the track is awesome. Shame I cant run in the hillclimb this Sunday........have to Work Thanks Tim.
  5. Yeah that might be it. I painted it a few years ago a pearl blue colour but it is not Nismo Blue. It didnt have purple headlights when I owned it. It was in HPI about 3 years ago. There were about 2 or 3 skylines in the process of being built with over 500hp when i left. Do you you know of these cars as they should be now up and running? Tim.
  6. Hi to all Skyline owners in Bathurst. I am new to town and own an R32 GTR. Just wondering if there is a good workshop in town that you take your cars to? I dont like the idea of guessing and taking a chance. Thanks Tim.
  7. I lived ther for about 13 years but left 18 months ago. Not a bad place. Does the Blue R32 with no wing and big frontmount still get around ? My old car. Tim.
  8. Tamworth is not a bad place. I used to live there. The car scene is not bad considering the size of the town. There are quite a few quick cars including 2 or 3 skylines that would have over 500 hp. My old skyline would still be getting around there too. Its a blue 32gtst that was in HPI 2 years ago. Tim.
  9. Good time Brett, Congratulations !! Steve and yourself have built a great car. 9s won't be far away. Tim.
  10. Just made a few calls..... ABS said they have no listing for new master cylinders or kits but they could recondition the one I have using parts and seals from other kits. This would cost about $300 to $350 but he hasnt done a GTR before and cannot guarantee it can be done. Nissan said $620!! for a new master cylinder and $174 for a kit. I think i might be best to get the correct kit from nissan and get a good brake shop to recondition it. But iam not sure ?? Tim.
  11. yeah i thought it would be about that much through nissan but i wonder if you can get one any cheaper through someone else ? thanks Tim.
  12. Has anyone had to change their brake master cylinder in their 32 gtr ? Mine is leaking and in need of replacement but iam having trouble finding a new one. Would anyone know where i could get one ? Thanks Tim.
  13. Wont be able to make it cause i have some brake issues now. Went to drive out of the shed and pushed on the brake pedal only to have it go just about all the way to the floor ! Tim.
  14. I might be able to make it if i can find and fit a top radiator hose tomorrow in the few hours i have spare. I live in the Blue Mountains so i will either meet you all at lithgo or along the bells road somewhere. I will be in ZILLA ...... midnight purple 32 GTR. Thats if i make it ......... Tim.
  15. About 280 rwkw @ 18psi once you have all the gear to support them and you could run more boost through them if you wanted. Tim.
  16. I dont use any sort of shroud with the fans but they are not mounted directly onto radiator core like the instructions tell you too. we used a few strips of aluminium to hold fans in place. Tim.
  17. I have just recentley had troubles with cluch on the factory engine fan on my 32 GTR. It was locking on hard and not letting the engine get above about 82 degrees which is too low. It was very noticable as it would make a loud whining noise and take a fair amount of power from the car ( like having aircon on but far worse). After pricing a new factory fan and then a set of 12 inch Davies Craig thermo fans, the thermo fans worked out a lot cheaper and would be a better option as they take no power at any time away from the engine. Very happy with the results. They were easy to fit, are fully adjustable for what temp you want them to hold, engine seems more responsive and powerfull than ever and makes engine bay look neater. Just hope they will keep temps down in traffic in summer. Tim.
  18. Blackheath and you ? Tim.
  19. I think yesterday was the coldest day i have ever experienced (only been in Bluemountains for 4 months). Didnt get over about 3 deg all day !!! still some snow in the backyard thismorning from wednesday night !!! GTR stayed in the shed though ....... 4wd is no match for black ice. Tim.
  20. As far as I know, mph readings on a g-tech are the speed that you are doing at the end of the 400m, where as on a drag strip I think it is an average speed between a certain point on the strip (not sure where exactly, but close to the end) and the finish line. So the mph will be a bit higher on the g-tech. Tim.
  21. My g-tech times ..... 12.2 0-400m and 4.0 0-100 (did this twice) Drag strip times ..... 11.9 0-400m (did this twice) The g-tech times were done on a road surface with much less grip than the wsid surface, so i think the g-tech is fairly acurate. Car is R32 GTR. Some mods include: PFC R34 N1 Turbos Twin plate clutch Tim.
  22. If you didnt see me that may be because I was finished all 3 of my runs by about 7.15, so we then parked the car and sat and watched. Didnt want to buy the super street license as I achieved my aim for the night and iam a bit short on cash atm. ECR033, yeah mph was a bit down on last run. I think this may be because I hit the limiter in first. I gave it a few more revs on that launch and it surprised me how quick 2nd gear was needed. Tim.
  23. Hi BU5TER, yeah i live not far from steves shop and i was getting some work done on my old pintara when i noticed your car there. Your motor looks very impressive, cant wait to see it run. Had a good chat to Steve about it. un_majstk, I cant realy tell u what it cost as most of performance gear was already on the car when I bought it. I have spent most of my time and effort painting it. Tim.
  24. I had a great night at wsid last night even though I only got 3 runs in before being told to get a super street license. I was driving the Midnight Purple R32 GTR with ZILLA plates. My times were: 12.036 @ 114.05 mph, 1.858 (60') 11.981 @ 115.81 mph, 1.858 11.946 @ 113.34 mph, 1.822 I achieved these times using average quality and condition street tyres and running the car in full street trim including same boost I use on the street (19psi). Some mods include: R34 N1 Turbos PFC Twin plate clutch Happy to now own a TRUE 11 second street car !! Tim.
  25. I will be there running my gtr for the first time if the weather is ok. Doesnt look good though. Rain is predicted. If the nscc is there and it is packed out, how many runs could i hope to get ?
