Hi guys, I have a 3 inch cat back exhaust to suit a R32 Gtr. It has a Redback resonator with a turbo mufler. The section before and after the resonator is actually 3 1/4", as it used to be an Apexi dunk system, but the cannon mufler was replaced. There's surface rust on the rear pipe section but exhaust is in good condition and not too loud. A coat of exhaust paint like Flame proof would help it come up nice Looking for $80 NEG, pickup SE suburbs in Melbourne SOLD Any offers? call 0409 021 525

What he said. Try and reset you're ecu first. Factory programming will be rich but it's possible that a reset may help things. Apparently after a reset, as the ecu re-learns it makes larger adjustments at first, then only slight changes after that. Dissconnect you're battery, step on the brake pedal a few times then reconnect the battery or leave it off for longer. Should do the trick. It can't hurt and it's free.

Great, that's what I thought you meant

Hks Twin Air Filters For Rb26 ....
my_gtr32 replied to chances's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
If you're looking at pods, Apexi pod filters are the best for air flow and filtration. They are dry type and don't coat you're afms with oil. Hks don't filter real well compaired to others in a side by side test done some time ago. If you do go pods, any pods, remember to fabricate a cold air box. Don't let the engine suck in hot air. There's nothing wrong with the standard air box if you use a hi-flow filter and rig up a cold air intake for it. PS. I want a R32 GTR Air box. If you are interested, I can sell you an Apexi twin pod system with near new pod filters plus spare pods! PM if you're interested. -
Ummm thanks???? You mean there is no real difference right?

Hi, like the topic says, are standard R34 GTR afm's any better than R32 or R33 afm's? Apart from being newer, the part number looks to be the same. Can anyone confirm this? I just purchased what was meant to be a R32 GTR air box on ebay, only to receive a complete R34 GTR airbox including the afms. I may return it to the seller or if anyone here is interested, on sell it here. While I'm at it, does anyone have a R32 gtr airbox for sale? Thanks in advance

Stolen/recovered 1994 R32 Gtr
my_gtr32 replied to gtrhappydays's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
You are a very lucky man, with some good friends. The lesson here, apart from having full comp insurance, a decent car alarm, etc, having something unique done to your car that makes it identifiable. In your case the carbon fibre wing. The stupid theives managed to change the rego plates and the expensive wheels you put on, but forgot about the wing. What's the chances of your friends reconising your car with no wing, different wheels and rego? It's just another white R32 GTR. Thank god it's not gun metal grey! It's strange the theives didn't start the rebirth process staight away and keep it behind closed doors until finished but rather they drove it around for a few days, yeah you're very lucky. -
What he said. The traction you get with any gtr when you fill-up those huge wheel arches with good rubber plus 4WD, it's no contest especially in the wet. And since when did a R32 GTR only have 206Kw? That figure was simply what manufactures agreed to limit their cars to. Let me asure you, there's more. Do the usual mods, intake, exhaust, and you have 200 plus Kw at the wheels. Hang on, but there should only be 206kw at the flywheel? That's a big power increase for such simple mods don't you think? With four wheel drive, a super strong driveline, except clutch, a lighter body than R33 or R34, and you have the basis for a very fast car. The R32 gtr is still faster 0 to 100klm and over the quarter mile than any other gtr released acording to every road test I've seen. Not the case around a twisty track though, R34 wins hands down. Mine has been a daily driver for the past 2 years and I can't say it's hard to drive, its GREAT to drive. A Gts4 is a good car, but you're having a lend of yourself if you think it's in the same league as the R32 GTR! As for a Grandeur keeping up, dream on.

How did they remove the lock? Was the boot forced open or did they use some kind of puller around the lock itself. Visegrips maybe?

Sorry to hear about your car. It's very interesting that velet feature was used. Another programmable feature on these alarms is a 'soft start' option. When a door is openned, the siren only chirps for a while, then starts to sound at full blast. If you have the car key, know where the valet button is, the number of times you need to press it, you can disarm the Vipar alarm before the system fully triggers. No way could anyone fluke this procedure in the time frame before the siren starts fully. Strange you say your neihbours didn't hear anything???

Yes me too. I set please Thanks Edit, on second thoughts, I might give it a miss. Thanks anyway

Hi, I have a gtr BOV. One only and just the bov not plumbing. Gtr's have 2 bov's and plumb back after AFM's. Does this help?

I've ordered a number of items from nengun in the past with no problems. There was something wrong over Christmas for sure. Had to wait much longer than usual for my parts to arrive. Unfortunately, Nengun have sent me the wrong part and now I have to somehow sort it out with emails back and forth. That's the only downside buying on the net. You are often asked to pay up front for something so TRUST is everything. When something goes wrong you hope the dealer does the right thing and sorts it out. Hopefully Nengun resolves the problem and I get the parts I paid for. Nengun offer a good service with very competative prices. This is my first problem with Nengun and its only over a $80 dollar item so I can't complain too much.

Suspension Height Uneven
my_gtr32 replied to my_gtr32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks for your help advise SK. I was told by Centreline if I move the circlip to the next grove (8mm heigher) this will actually increase the vehicle height by 16mm? Aparently it's a 1:2 ratio. So may need to machine a groove 4mm above existing one. <_< -
Hi guys, my r32 gtr is 10mm lower on the front right side compared to the left. I thought the spring had simply sagged over time. I've recently replaced all my springs and shocks as part of the whiteline group buy, but no change. Now I'm thinking maybe a suspension component could be bent? Can anyone suggest what could be the likely cause? I know I can mess around with different spring heights or spacers, to fix it but I would much rather find the cause of the problem rather than a work around. There's no accident damage to the suspension towers or anything obvious. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

R33 gtr's were released 1993. I thought ALL R33 gtr's had the longer crank??? Can anyone confirm...

Does this problem only effect series 1 R32 gtr not series 2? I know the issue was sorted by the time the r33 gtr (series 1) was released, 93 also???

Removing The Damn Hose From The Intercooler!
my_gtr32 replied to MLCrisis's topic in General Maintenance
Hi, had a similar problem. Squirt some WD40 etc under the hose. Then twist it off. Rember to clean all surfaces after. You don't want the hose slipping off the new IC. -
SiksII No problem, I will use my bung from the old cat and fit it to the new magic cat when it's installed. Thanks mate
