  1. Was looking into the 2860's myself after much reading of the forums. Looking at this website can anyone tell me what the difference between the 707160-5005 and the 707160-5007 off their site? They both seem to be the same thing? http://www.sonicperformance.com.au/Garrett...ml#_707160_5005 From that website if i was after the "2530 equivalent" would i want the 707160-5010 which says its a 350HP version? Its confused me as i thought the 2530 version was the "-5" as R31Nismoid pointed out in his post. :S
  2. Hey guys, I started doing a cam conversion in an otherwise stock 32 gtr head. The cams are 260 9.15mm poncams. When i measures the first 2 lobes both on the stock inlet & exhaust cams they seemed to be 18thou. Now thats ok for the inlet but exhaust is supposed to be 15thou isnt it? Would there be any reasoning in makeing the exhaust 18 thou as well or should i just reshim the exhaust shims to make them 15? The car had a rebuild not long ago and the head was done at that time, it doesnt seem noisy or anything... Cheers Mike.

  4. Last set of HKS gears that were on my car were very obviously warn down in the centre of the teeth.
  5. Very heavy? Surley if its a nissan gear with the centre machined out and an alloy centre it would be lighter than stock. (maybe not as light as hks etc) But id rather pick a "non wearing item" for that kind of money. We'll see in a few days anyway
  6. The Jun ones have a steel tooth section with an alloy centre. I just ordered a set of just gears and cams too. Mike. Out of curiosity what makes the Tomeis a superior item?

  8. Hey guys, I've been looking at new rims for my 32 GTR for a while now and i cannot for the life of me work out what rims to buy.... What rims do you guys have on your GMG cars or what rims do you think look good on them? Any input would be appreciated... I've looked at LMGT4's ,P1's ,Wedssport SA70's But cannot make up my mind. Its driving me insane!!! Maybe it'll help if you can post up pics on your cars? Cheers Mike!!!!

  10. Hey guys, I'm planning to do a T04Z conversion on my R32 GTR. I want to do as much of it myself (exchange of head with modified one, removal of N1's etc...) Under the supervision of a mechanic though... My questions are - When converting from the twins to the single what do you do with the oil and water lines? I pressume that there are 2 oils and 2 water lines? So in that case would you just block 2 off and use some type of extension from the other 2 to fit up to the single? any photos or articles you can point me too? Cheers Guys

  14. Hey guys i have a r32 gtr which i took for a drive yesterday. after giving it a bit of boost i slowed down. Car went fine. A bit later i decided to boost it a bit more, boost controller is set to 1bar. Anyway i went into 3rd and put my foot down but car wouldnt boost more than 0.5bar. Off boost the car still feels as solid as before. no unusual sounds or anything it just wont boost. any ideas what it could be? i checked the obvious IC hoses but they all seem fine. Btw it has N1's Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Mike
