dont fry me for this but often i see these posts of "have you tried searching?" etc, wats the point in having a forum if everything has been covered 10 times and we're not allowed to ask the same questions? So what...maybe this has turned into a database where we no longer need forums. Not bashing anyone particularly you Nismoid, you're a wealth of information and alot of what you have posted up on these forums has helped me pllllenty, i just dont understand why it matters. -
i run a low mount GT35, 16psi makes 270kw n i fkn love it, turbo hits that hard when it comes on, if u want something that excites u id go for the 35. Im not knocking the brilliant powercurves that alot of the people have with smaller turbos but i think at the end of the day i feel my car is a bit more exciting to drive with the 35 than say a 30. Personal preference of course.

there was a guy on here Jarrod who was selling 1 in canberra, i bought it n its fkn brilliant quality for fibreglass.

lol 106? id b shitting the gear if i could get my hands on some of that...if its tuned on 98 then 106 is going to make fkn absolutely no diff other than protect ur engine slightly from det...waste of time... rather stick 100 shot up it then tune it on that crap...at least it would have some valuable effect

Wat is your limiter set to? you are definitely not meant to block the remaining port on the solenoid, this is where the excess pressure bled from the actuator is meant to vent through, blocking this will impede how it holds boost. If the limiter is set to something low it will continually cut the boost pressure everytime it exceeds whatever you have programmed into it.

before my head explodes we need more pics god dammmmit! f**kin incredible.......

thanks guys, i see. Greatly simplified for me. Well seeimg as my engine itself has next to no power before about 3900-4000 i thought the idea of having some larger duration cams wouldnt hurt it. Typically with solid lifters, what is involved in the conversion? is it a full head-off job? I don't care much for the VCT i dont think it works as it is at the moment. The solenoid on mine has a small (very small) oil leak. Maybe i would be better off just getting a pair of cam gears? more cost effective over a full set of cams and the gears? Thanks guys.

L20% means if your boost exceeds the set warning level it will drop 20% of your overall boost level ie: if warning is set to 10 and it exceeds this it will immediately drop 20% of the boost pressure (back to 8psi). Problem being if its not correctly set up it will continually jump up and down. mine is set on 16psi (50%) 15% gain, overboost warning is 17.5psi and the boost cut is set at 7% (L7%). On my application this is perfect.

your boost settiing is reliant on the percentage that you dial in, this will adjust your solenoid to open at a particular boost level. for 11psi you will need about 22-25% on a standard turbo. all you do is when its on turn the chrome knob to select the % thing. when u do this you will also have to change your overboost, hit select til it comes up red with either a Bar reading or number, ie:100. 100 represents 10PSI as it wont have the decimal place value. so 112 means 11.2psi. now this setting will probably want to be set around 120 or 0.85bar, watever values you have being displayed (ie:Psi or Bar). What this does is cuts your boost by a percentage that you have elected in the other settings. 10% will be fine for the overboost cut value. finally your gain is to help the response of your turbo spooling. it goes between 5% and 25%, the higher you make this the faster its meant to make your turbo spool, the lower the slower but positive aspect is it will help stop your car from overboosting.

Hey all, just thinking to myself, i have a decent bottom end in my car now, consisting of CP's, eagle rods. Im making 270rwkw on a GT3582R (i know its big for the application and power but i like it) with 620cc injectors. it makes this power on 16lb on a very conservative tune as i track it alot and wanted good reliability. My top end is stock as a rock. As i want to put some cams in i want to know wat sort of power increase i should expect on different cams (ie tomei, HKS, JUN) and cam gears on the same or similar boost level. Keep in mind i have only a limited understanding on how their duration and lift is suitable for different applications. Basically if i were to throw in a set of Poncams and camgears with 16lb should i expect 280-290kw? more with larger cams? Thanks Chris. Edit. Also with solid lifters installed will that allow the car to rev higher for longer in the situation that the engine was balanced to do so? Just curious...i dont know jack shit when it comes to valvetrain in these cars, hoping to expand some of my knowledge here..

guess im 99% try hard and full retard coz i enjoy all these movies...other than number 2...that was dismal...but yea number 1 and 3 were good. We all know that the shit they say and do in these films is pathetically unreal but who the fu*k cares! its the only movie series that is based around this genre, and for that reason its the best there is. Start making a movie about cars, talking about the A/R on your 3076 or the piston/bore clearances n id be walking out the door....gangas, fast cars n burnouts....hell yea give me more. -
Just kinda drifted into my head but does anyone recall the cause of the accident in that GTR? i remember reading a rumour regarding a break in and they took that car or something then crashed. Sounds far fetched but just curious. Either way horrible accident...

I checked the times from that natsoft site n i did 4 sessions, so 20 laps and they reckon i totalled 10? i dun get it....that and i felt my car was handling that much better in the last session i went out but now ill never kno if it went any quicker...
