  1. No pics sorry mate, my digital camera is overseas with my sister at the moment. The mounting points are the same, but I believe the vSpec came with a slightely stiffer valved shocks from factory. I don't have the rear muffler sorry.
  2. Sorry but ours doesn't have one, we've nearly had it for a year now as well. Shop around, find one in good nick, maintain it well and it will be as reliable as any other performance car.
  3. I have a S8 RX7 (well my misses owns one). Make sure you look at a Type RS or above, an RB is still awesome, but makes a little less power. Being 6'2" I am not comfortable in the drivers seat and cannot heel-toe properly as my knees hit the steering wheel. We looked at a Spirit R as well at the time, but I couldn't get my shoulders into the factory recaro's in that. Comparative to a 33 GTR (which is my car) you won't be disappointed, there is very similiar performance between our cars and both have an almost identical modifications list, but the RX7 is RWD (obviously) and definitely handles better. Fuel consumption on the 7 is better as well. Reliability hasn't been an issue, we shopped around before picking the one we thought was best. I honestly prefer the RX7, but would need a crazy low mounted bucket seat to drive it regularly.
  4. Sorry Mate, auto notification isn't working. Yes I still have the air box, filter and snorkel.
  5. Sorry my head was elsewhere and I was completely not thinking (heading to the hospital) - hence looking at you like "who the f**k is that?" I'll be more social next time
  6. Posting for a friend EG Hatch stolen from Bankstown NSW Sunday night. Rego EGB16A Any info please call directly 0406 104 108 Had Enkei J-speed rims, Skyline Bayside Blue spray job, Spec 2 very loud exhaust. Please be cautious if anyone is selling the following parts: -Enkei J-speed 3, white with polished lip Only set in Australia -JIC Front Strut (really fat 3" round polished pipe, rare) -CTR gearbox -Mugen front lip and EG6 1 piece rear wing The rims and the strut are very rare items and anyone who has these on their car will stand out like a face tumour.
  7. Agreed, the rules chose the tyres That being said though 12month old RT215s are the best tyres I've ever had on any of my cars so I don't know what I'm missing out on.
  8. That my point exactly, and the reason I'm asking, there are good points backing both, hence why I'm looking to see what others run I've already got the rest of the gear, camber, castor, cage, sway bars, bushings, subframe alignment kit. I just want to make sure I finish the package properly.
  9. That's the maximum yes, this is a very low budget car compared to a lot of what's running.
  10. RT615s are the plan at the moment! 6 point cage, full SK kit bar coilovers. Thanks for the help, I am leaning towards the stiffer setup at the moment, as I think running at stock weight the 8 fronts 6 rears will be a bit too soft. Bilsteins or Ohlins are out of the question money wise!
  11. I'm at the point where I have enough money to get some coilovers for the GTR in preparation for superlap now. What do you guys run in terms of Spring Rates on your GTRs? I'm asking in here and not the suspension area because I'm not really concerned about street handling as such and don't feel like being recommended "Super Streets". My two main choices at the moment are Greddy Type S coilovers or Cusco Zero 2's. Both are about the same cost ($1700), both are height and damper adjustable but they come with fixed spring rates. The Greddy Type S's run 8kg front, 6kg rear but are a "progressive spring", whereas the Cusco's are 12kg front, 10kg rear. Assuming I want it setup with track, not street in mind, am I better to go with the stiffer option? Thanks, Matt
  12. Leon's Engineering in Artarmon, Does full engine building and head work themselves (well, when I last used them a bit over 4 years ago now).
  13. I've been in a similiar situation recently to you before after a bad run in with a HWP officer. He didn't do anything right when he pulled me over, and I also knew I wasn't guilty of anything. As already mentioned they bank on you admitting guilt and not standing up to them. I took it to court, my cousin (a lawyer) represented me for free. We beat the charge easily but I wasn't happy with just that (this guy was a real f***). So we went even further than that and pursued the officer through the Ombudsman. After a 6 month investigation the guy was sacked (I had my own recording which we couldn't use in court, but was sufficient for the ombudsman). The reason I'm telling you this though is because since then I've copped so much more harassment from them it's not funny, in the end you have to weigh up whether it's worth it. I was absolutely horrified when I was told the list of notes against my name that had been put there by some of his bitter friends. In my case, I'm not sure it was worth it.
  14. I found with the GTS-T that it made a big difference to how stable and predictable it was through the corners, I didn't notice an improvement in laptimes, but I wasn't slowed down by the extra weight of it either! That being said though, the GTST wasn't the most structually sound car around, it had more than one monster accident in it's life time and was very bent chassis wise. In comparison, I haven't noticed a difference since I put it in the GTR. Merli, theres ways around that, a bolt in cage would be a good solution, put it in for the track days, pull it out for driving around the streets. Or even just have bolt in front bars and a permanent rear cage.
  15. Just get a cage... - They aren't very expensive. Cost should be less than a decent set of semis. - It may well save your life if something goes wrong. - It helped the handling of my GTST a lot.
  16. I have no idea, but I'm sure if your really keen there will be something on here about it.
  17. You saw JET32R? I'm guessing that is a mistake as that car was stolen a few months ago....
