  1. Thanks mate, This turbo was second hand and was in 'excellent condition' bought off a guy here in canberra and didnt turn out the case. So i think best bet is for a new turbo now... Dayne
  2. dude, you will never get that for that price, i paid $150 and no-one seperates it... i had 2 buy the entire rear boot carpets. Dayne
  3. Guys, Suspected turbo seals have gone in my brothers rb20det turbo, Does anyone have a turbo in 'good condition' not blowing any smoke, with good seals here in Canberra? Prefferably to borrow for a few days to see wether its his current turbo seals, or something else along the line. Probably a long shot i know, but i know a fair few of you have upgraded turbos, and 'might' have one laying around for various reasons. Please if anyone is able to lend one, or sell one would be much appreciated. Fairly urgent. Thankyou very much B) Dayne
  4. Its his brother posting again here, his external wastegate opens at 10.7psi, so thats how much psi he is putting through the turbo - and your correct it is a t3 flange. His current rb20det turbo is slowly dying, as the seals in it have just gone. I will let him know MattSR your advice, though i think all he was really after was the 'specs' on the turbo.. as ozhonda, and more specifically an american honda website that specialises in turboing these engines has given him some ideas as to why he isnt hitting high powerfigures. Keep the ideas and feedback comming, does anyone know the specific size of it .xx? Dayne
  5. Spotted a silver r33 in manuka, drift wing.. looked like a different front bar, and maybe some 6 spoke rims. Anyone off here? About 10.40ish.. stopped a bit past tryst... and had a fairly good look over at me and some mates walking. Dayne
  6. Damn, Well atleast theyre back? You'd think they would be a little smarter, even better for you though. If i hear anything, or am approached by them anywhere will let you know Dayne
  7. I dont want to cause a shiit here but, the lack of capacity has nothing to do with it. On the 1.6 DOHC VTEC engine its well known that to achieve 170-180kw atw is attainable. That is however is most cases using a T3/T4 57trim .63ar turbo Does anyone know the size of the nissan 16v-10?
  8. Yeah its a 1.6 Full boost by about 3400rpm, it starts to spool at about 2900 or so
  9. Hi Fellas Im actually posting on my brothers account as I dont have one on the SAU forums Im using an rb20det turbo (16v-10) on my Honda Civic VTiR, but it just isnt making any sort of decent power like it should. Basically on 10psi on my engine I should be ripping through the stock clutch and spinning tyres easily.. This is all based on a mates turbo civic which made only 130kw at the wheels, using a TD04, so it seems i am making significantly less then what i should (170atw for reference) Does anyone have any information on the size of this turbo? Some people have said its a .48 ar, but it looks quite small. Ive been told these turbos support 180rwkw on the skyline engines, whether thats going to relate to my dohc vtec engine i doubt it, as it is different to your nissan engines. The turbo does hold boost all the way to redline, which is 8200rpm, so there is no problem there. Any information about the turbo would be great! Regards, Ben
  10. If your conserned and you think they could have your gear go out to fyshwick and have a look around for them.. and see what they are selling. Alot of people do it legitly, and their are alot of thiefs around anyways. I would say it could be a very hard to track down and pin point the exact person who stole your gear, as they're probably long gone now. Anyway, is their something suspecious about them particular that makes you think they could be the ones who've got your gear? If i see anything, or if im approached i'll ask for their number so i can contact them 'later' about their gear and pass it onto you. Goodluck Dayne
  11. bump, need the rear light, as well as power window controller for drivers side door, as well as drivers side door trim... for series 1 the trim, spoiler light for series 2... coupe' dayne
  12. $9000 ono if i read correctly - hopes this helps Dayne
  13. hey man, sure it was a gtst? sounds alot like mine and i was there at that time... and mine has the gtst on the rear boot at the moment:) i saw your beast in manuka too... the reason for the badge (yeah i know its rice) is i needed a new boot, and its yet to get painted, even though the paint is the exact same:) Dayne
  14. hey guys chasing rear light out of the wing off a r33 series II gtst. cheers dayne
  15. Sounds good tony, will check it out sometime, how'd the radiator go? The place that did mine cost $400 thats why i didn't pm you. Though its a way better radiator. Dayne
  16. Nice pictures mate, was hoping for a picture of a friends widebody integra, though doesnt matter:d the gurls make up for it! Dayne
  17. hey mate how are ya, get the bar fitted up yet?? you should be right with where you put it! I've got one up there too. Dayne
  18. Yeah it is - clean the pipes.. let it warm up and take it for a drive... then come back pull the pipe off and check again? if its not there then there is your answer.. but seriously i wouldnt be pushing the car (i.e up the boost, and push it to its limits) as its a time bomb waiting to go off.. Just baby it, or spend the money and get the seals replaced. Dayne
  19. It doesnt matter where the clutch releases as you would have no idea if its aftermarket or not. Example - my r33 used to release real far out (almost at the end) though with a new excede heavy duty clutch it releases and grips real quick (same as yours). IF it doesnt slip most likely its not the clutch, though it could be worn. Best bet is to go speak to a gearbox shop near you, but be careful - theyre fairly expensive to rebuild. Dayne
  20. yeah well the people i went through cared about the dimensions, hence why it was so expensive. Next time i need to post an item i'll definetly contact you though, you seem to know the way around it. The guy at the depo said basically that because the item was weird shape i'd have 2 pay for the cubic volume or sum shit? ended up being that i could of posted a package of 150kg and ended up with the same price. Dayne
  21. Sweet as, your ride looked tough;) Sounded fairly mean too, was the first skyline to come through, then followed soon after by a gtr, which i think was nugget. Dayne
  22. Mate i feel your pain, my car sat at the pannel beaters shop for 2.5 weeks to get door, bonnet, and mirror painted.. he had a problem though because he had switched over to a new paint system, and had to get the specialist out there to try and mix a forumula, never turned out right so we had to purchase the paint from someone else and give it to him.... Took ages, not 100% happy with the job, but what can you do? I seriously hate getting my car painted, so next time it goes in i will make sure i get a large list going first, then get it all done in one hit. Dayne
  23. I saw your car nismo - i think? Do you have a trojan sticker on the back of it? and a drift style wing.. Rach - Lol... next time i'll come say hi:) Just didnt seem right though with the stares:P Dayne
  24. Depends where it is - does it cause visability problems? Dayne
  25. R33 - i have 2 i think? cbf taking out my rear parcel shelf to see though Dayne
