  2. I actually went over around 30+ pages, i'll try the rest :<
  3. *bump* the guy's gonna sell the wheels to someone else any 32 gtst guys out there?
  4. Hi guys - looking at getting 17x8 +22 front and 17x9 +27 rears for my sightly lowered r32 gtst, any ideas if they'll fit fine? Can't test fit because the wheels arent close by Tyres are 225/45/17 fronts and 235/45/17 rear - and its a type - M so bigger calipers I think? Thanks for your help!
  5. Would they fit a lowered r32 gtst mate?
  6. oh ok - yea i knew that i just read what you said as strut bars in my head - point taken!
  7. Wow, thanks for the long reply mate appreciate it. The car already has hicas lock bar and front ad rear sway bars on the strut towers. And it's lowered already but I suspect the shockers are pretty worn out. I'll be printing the stuff out that you've mentioned and take it to a mechanic mate of mine, I'll source some parts online if I find them. Thanks again
  8. Hi guys; I'm preparing to do an overhaul on the 32 gtst and would like to begin with suspension, this will be my daily driver and the aim is to have around 250 rwkw or so in the end. I'm going to buy coilover's at some stage but need to know what else I need to replace / get inspected. I've got lowered springs already. Is it just the bushes that I need replaced? which bushes exactly? I browsed through quite a few pages last night but couldn't find something relevant (although someone surely would've done this before) so if someone can list a few items or point me in the right direction, that'd be awesome! Thanks!
  9. Hey bud - got passenger side dash vent?
  10. Got the cash back minus warranty + stamp duty. Happy with the outcome!
  11. *bump* guys - back in the market for these two items! Let me know if you have something reasonably priced ... I can get the vent for $55 new and indicator for $65 new from japanese import spares ... but thought i'd try to see if someone here can appeal to my tightass requirements
  12. Spoke to the dealer today, he has agreed to give me my money back minus the stamp duty (around $400) - happy with it, going to see him on Saturday - fingers crossed!!!
  13. ^^ Sorry to say but Mazda 3's don't actually have lifters (I'm not that much of an expert, just what i was told) ... could be something else more serious?
  14. Other mechanics would need to open the engine up to inspect crank etc - expensive and would most likely come from my pocket since the original issue has been fixed?
  15. yea but the issue is the big end bearing (which was the fault) usually is a symptom of a much bigger issue ... which is what they wouldn't have fixed. so its kind of a band aid solution
  16. hmmm - but is this car considered a lemon since the fault is now fixed?
  17. Hey mate, the 3 months/5000 km warranty only talks about repairs though, not refunds
  18. FYI guys - in case it helps anyone later on, it turned out to be a hose on the fuel pump - wasn't tightened up properly.
  19. Hi guy - got a question about my other car ... I bought a 2005 Mazda sp23 from a car dealer a week and a half ago. Went for a test drive and was all good except a slight ticking sound from the engine. Dealer said its been sitting there for 2 weeks so it might be lifters etc (I now know that the sp23 doesnt even have lifters). Anyway long story short, the sound got really bad once the engine was completely warmed up, so I called the dealer who asked me to take it to "his" mechanic shop. At the shop, they straight away said its the bottom end and advised me to leave the car there and talk to the dealer. Now his mechanic said its the big end bearing and he'll fix it in a day or two ... my question is, the bearing is a pretty big fault and unless he machines the crank etc and does everything properly (which he won't since he's doing this in 2 days) - it'll be a bandaid fix at best. What are my chances of getting my money back from the dealer? On page 14, it says I should be able to? http://www.accc.gov.au/content/item.phtml?itemId=963175&nodeId=cbe0411ccf8d0b8fbf2bdbacea75046f&fn=Consumer%20guarantees%20a%20guide%20for%20consumers.pdf Thanks for your help in advance!
  20. Allright guys turned out to be a fuel pump hose not tightened up properly - easy fix ... dr drift (Sam) Ftw!!
  21. hmmm interesting - i'll swap with a known good one soon and see - thanks mate
  22. Bosch 040 I think, dr drift (Sam) fit it so I'm pretty sure he would've done it right? Also if it wasn't fit properly, wouldnt i get the issues straight away instead of after a month plus? thanks for your help so far
  23. Hi Paul - I've cleaned the AFM thoroughly - reset the ECU as well. The EGT light NOW doesn't turn on since I took the ecu out for a diagnostic and found out the constant led on it wasn't on (made sure it was on when the ignition was on by turning the screw before i put it back in after the diagnostic and that has gotten rid of the EGT light. So if the diagnostic doesn't return any codes, still worthwhile doing a consult check? Nothing was touched on the car in the build up to this, just started happening all of a sudden! The fuel pump change was done over a month before this. Plattsy, Im going away for the weekend this week sorry let me know how you go with it all and we might catch up next week if you're free ... might swap TPS's and AFM's and see if it changes anything - although if both of ours are screwed up, it wont help
  24. I "think" its starving for fuel ... but then how does it pull really hard on high RPM's The problem is listed in the link above...
