  1. If this is GTR700, i'm fairly sure that it has some trick arrangement that allows it to split up to 100% of the drive to the rear wheels. I think it also runs an air shifted liberty gearbox.

  4. Just wondering how effective my HKS oil cooler is... Is there anyone that can tell me what sort of oil temps their GTRs are running without a cooler? Usually mine sits in between the bottom mark of the oil temp gauge and the 1/4 mark. With the warmer weather its been creeping up a little more to just under the 1/4 mark. I havn't had the car on the track yet so it's never been higher than that....

  7. 32 GTR, no question. When looking for my Skyline I considered a 33 GTST against a 32 GTR, for about 20 seconds. Drive the two cars back to back, if you can commit to the running costs of a GTR, and it's not rolled, bowled, and arseholed, BUY IT.

    Just wondering if anyone has had their RB26 tuned by Matt Spry at PITS (using PFC) I've heard he is the man..... Anyone got their PH NO......?? If not where is the best/most reputable place in Brissie???
  12. My girl has always been into cars even before she met me. Theres nothing she enjoys more than blowing guys away at the lights in our GTR, and to me, there is nothing better than seeing a hot blonde rolling down the road in a fat GTR. Hell, shes even encouraging mde to get a Power FC this week!!! Gold!!
  13. Mine is a '90 model, i've had it on the road 2 months now, nearing 5000kms of driving. All I have done is a major service including all fluids and filters when I first got it, and replaced one C.V boot. I looked for a long time before purchase, checked out alot of cars, and all of them had accident repairs/rust/mechanical issues/wound back speedos etc. Mine is as clean and genuine as they come and I count myself very lucky being able to find it. Patience pays off big time. There are good 32 GTRs out there, you just have to know what you are looking for, and if you don't, take someone with you who does. And don't get all excited and buy the first one you see.
  14. When I got my GTR it was very slow to climb onto boost. It has 2510s, HKS dumps, MINES ECU, standard modified airbox, and had a 3.5' exh. I added front pipes and gutted the cat, and it made a major difference, makes full boost about 1000rpm earlier now...... GUT THAT CAT!!!!!!
  15. Yeah i'm aware of that, but I have replaced valve guide seals on a couple of vehicles before using compressed air into the cylinder to keep the valves in place and a special tool to remove valve spring and retainers etc. Just wondering if anyone had performed such an exercise on RB26.

  18. Ummmm, no definately not bare aluminium, the cam covers, timing cover, plenum, and plug covers all have the paint on them. Anyhoo, mines engine or no mines engine, shes pumping now, I *modified* the cat last night and what a difference..... Makes full boost alot earlier now, 1.2 bar by 4200 rpm, (in 1st) and some tuning with power fc should se it coming on even earlier. The car feels totally different, must have picked up 15-20atwkw and I cant' keep the smile off my face.

The day after I picked it up I replaced oil and filter with genuine nissan items, replaced fluid in both diffs, gearbox, transfer case, brake fluid, coolant, and checked spark plugs but they were fine. Interesting to note that all the fluids I drained looked like they had just been changed, but even so I did them. Timing cover has a sticker stating it was changed Feb '03 @ 104 kms, same date and kms were on the lube sticker. Even so I will be checking the belt and tesioner. Forgot to mention it still has the standard cat, so replacing that with a high flow should give a significant gain.
  21. Kralster - typo, so why don't you shut the @#%^up unless you have something constructive to say. Cheers to the other opinions, - about the conclusion I had already come to. I knew the MINES would need to go, power FC when $$ permits. A/F ratios were about 11.6:1.
