Now I'm not sure if that's being directed at me or not. But if you read my first posts I said I like my tuner. I drive an hour out of my way to go to my tuner. He has done many of my cars and my friends high hp cars. I regard him as one of the best in the country. It's my fault there were leaks in the inlet system as I assembled the motor and build. I'm sure we have all left a vacuum line off once? And I'm sure we have had some split before? In saying that with all the induction sounds and wastegate sounds it would be nearly impossible to hear the leaks. Iv never had this issue before. I don't blame anyone but my self. Also I took on his advice about trying a bigger rear housing (anyone have an .82 gt30 housing with 4 bolt flange) I also wished to seek others advice on this forum that's y iv posted the question and took in everyone's advice! Now the comment is right about it's not his job to fix the problem when it's on the dyno unless your willing to pay for it.. But he defiantly will. On the day my fuel pump Let go and he stopped the clock and let me install new pump on the dyno. He also supplied the parts and advice. The service is great and I will only highly recommend him to anyone!! I think I'm getting closer to my issues with the new build and thank everyone for there input. Iv been busy with work so I have yet to install new injector seals but I'm on it tomorrow. Followed by another pressure test. Will keep you all posted!

Wanted! Gt3076R Just The " .82 Rear Housing " Or Swap My .6
DriftSquad replied to DriftSquad's topic in Wanted to Buy
Any one selling these aftermarket housings with 4 bolt exhaust flange? Just one less thing I have to change .. I do a lot of googling and scanning forums before I ever post anything dude. Anyway I found big boost leaks 1 was the standard throttle body nipple on the bottom. Don't know how I missed that. The other was a split line pretty bad to was just hanging off its nipple. The other too where pin wholes in the custom intercooler pipes they are now fixed also. I hope that was my issue also I'm going to drain the tank and run fresh fuel. But still I wouldn't mind putting the bigger rear housing on anyway. So still looking for an .82 anyone? -
Yes I could hear the hissing right away. Fixed those 2 and the pipe will be welded buy the end of the day. The reg on the air compressor said 15 psi but when I connect to the car the pinholes wouldn't let it get over 5 psi according to boost guage. Unless I opend up the reg heaps more. Once it's all back together I'll run it up higher and see what happened.

Thanks for the mate I'll check it all. I have some updates! Today I did a boost leak test found 2 big leaks 1 was under the throttle body was nothing attached to the nipple. The other was the rubber joiner that joins the small hard boost line from the boost gauge to the silicone line that goes to the manifold. It was split and fell out of it's fitting. Then I found 2 small pinholes in the welds of my intercooler piping getting them welded up today. Also slight bubbling from 2 injector seals.

Wanted! Gt3076R Just The " .82 Rear Housing " Or Swap My .6

I'll defiantly have a look are they supposed to go on this turbo? Has anyone done it on this site? Anyone selling the .82? Can you buy a genuine garret 4 bolt? I know I'm not sure if it's my problem I'm just trying everything. No one has really pointed me in the right direction, only put my parts down lol. would be good if some one to come check it out. -
I'm not sure of the baked been trick. But today I made a 4" PVC cap and drilled and glued and airline fitting to it. Tomorrow I'm going to pump her up and check for leaks. I tow my car 1 hour to mark because I believe he knows his stuff. That's not to say the boost controller is setup correctly or not. I just want to get to the bottom of my huge power loss and boost problems so I can get out on the track again. I'll post my results after to boost leak test. Do I have to block anything else off?

The afr was kept at 11.5 - 11.6 as it's a drift car and it's only ever drivin when it gets trashed. So just a safer zone. Fuel pump is brand new 044 replaced on the day. Fuel pressure stays at 60psi all the way to redline. The controller was set with gain not in auto. Would a boost leak create this kind of drop? It's not so simple to just put a standard manifold back on. Cooler piping exhaust piping gate piping and rear housing all made to suit. My question is what could be holding my boost back? Shit boost controller? Blitz ebc duel, Is the reason for the poor power because of not holding boost to redline? Possible boostleak? Tied motor? Has anyone got a dyno of a microtech with the same type of setup?
-
The stock manifold was cracked and old and not a high mount set up and needed to for external gate. Boost controller is a blitz duel stage. I can send a pic if u like? I had to change the fuel pump on the dyno because the old 040 let go. It's now a 044. Maybe I just have a really tied motor. I'll do a compression test soon. I know the microtechs are not the best but I didn't think it would cost me this much. Mark said he thinks the .63 is to small and that's y it drops boost off back to wast gate spring pressure.

My last set up was Stock turbo 14 psi Cooler 3" straight exhaust Coil packs Blitz boost controller Bosh 040 Tuned remped computer Can't think of anything else, made like 186 kW I think I don't think most of my parts are cheap and crappy. Garret gt3076r .63 Pro gate Denso 880 injectors Greddy copy plenum, been machined flat. So just like a genuine Unsure of exhaust manifold but my friends vl has the same one making 589hp on 20psi Blitz duel stage boost controller was told it was great! Microcrap lt12 well I took some bad advice on that one Turbosmart fuel reg Bosh 044 pump off a relay for 13.8v Can't remember what else. The suspension and underbody is well ajustable everything. The car had cost a lot. I think I'm about 70hp shy of what I thought I was building the motor for. Mark did say the air temp adjustment prob was not in the engine bay and may have robbed me of a few hp?

What do you mean max it at? We had flat 11.6 afr. 18 psi and it slowly dropped back to nearly 14 psi may that have been my problem? I can't remember when or how much the microtech was its a plug and play with hand controller. Not sure if it's a china manifold. It could be. It's got 2 pipes that join the collector and joint to 1 pipe to the gate

Not sure what you ment buy that, the car has had a lot of work even before the upgrade. I had already maxed oem before I spent money on the turbo injectors computer intake and manifold so that makes no sence. Yes it has an front mount intercooler I just didn't list it. Prob got a few others I haven't said

Hey guys got a problem my car didn't make the power I think it should have made. Rb25det s1 Gt3076r .63 rear High mount manifold 50mm wast gate with 14psi spring 800cc injectors Bosh 044 fuel pump Turbo smart fpr Upgraded coil packs Greddy copy intake. 3inch straight exhaust Blitz dual solenoid boost controller Microtech Lt12 I only made 296rwhp was the best run of the day at 18 psi Seems low compared to others iv seen on this site? Also I did notice that boost drops off from 18 nearly back to 14 at the top. Fuel and air sitting on about 11.6 . Any thoughts?
