  2. I have one of those manifold's on the Rb20.I get 12psi at 3500rpm with a HKS GT2535 turbo etc does that seem ok?did 225rwhp on 11psi
  3. I got another RB20det box and will be putting new bearing and synchros thru it very soon.

  5. Sounds like maybe it's not getting spark.I'm guessing from your name the RB20 is in a silvia? and you have just done the wiring. I'd check to see if it's getting spark coz I had the same prob putting the RB20 in my R31.It was one wire that we connected wrong and the motor cranked but did'nt fire.So yer check all power and earthe to the ECU

  7. It is'nt that late,there is a little lag and it's hard to say when 12psi is made coz the tacko don't work!Think of it this way,it does'nt drop off boost at all and the 500rpm or so that it does come on song I reckon is worth the $350 or so dollars for a RB25 turbs.

  9. And the RB20det turbo feeling faster bit is true.Mine felt slow compared to it and I have a HKS GT2535.But then agian I had a plenum bolt missing and once another bolt was put back in i got boost 500rpm quicker rofl
  10. Jeol I was'nt driving and the tacho was'nt working so it's hard to say what rpm it was going hard at. Of course down low it has suffered a little but it's not that bad.Up top(guessing by the speed)like you said between 5000rpm and 7000+rpm it just kept on pulling and stayed at 11psi-12psi,before the RB20det nearly sounded like n/a coz it had nothing after 6000rpm. Ed G thats not safe but we all do it.Some go pop and some don't :wassup:
  11. Update. Just finished putting a Series 1 RB25 turbo on a Series 2 R32 RB20det.Put the RB20 acuator on RB25 turbo for higher boost(11-12psi) Easy just unbolt Rb20 turbo and put the Rb25 in it's spot.If you don't have the elbow on the RB25 turbo we used the RB20 one and drilled out the holes.Very easy people and it goes so much harder on 11-12psi than the shitter RB20 one.
  12. Well Series 1 R33 turbo has normal compresser wheel and ceramic exhaust wheel. Series 2 R33 turbo has nylon/plastic compresser wheel and ceramic exhaust wheel. R34 GTT turbo is same as above but it might have different guts.

I had no probs with mine.As Predator said start with the balanceat 50% and work from there.I found that about 75% worked best with mine.Sounds like you it all connected up right.What I did with the hose that goes to controller in the cabin was tee into the charcoal canister,I did'nt really what to get it from the fuel reg.

  18. I know only Series 2 RB20det's have 2 regs,something about the rear reg making sure the rear cylinders get the same pressure as the front?

Ok helped do this convo last night and with RB25 turbo on a R31 ECCS RB20det - We found out that the R31 oil line is the same and fitted the RB25 turbo - Used the R31 oil drain on the RB25 turbo - YOU NEED EIETHER THE R32 OR R33 WATER LINES FOR THE RB25 TURBO - Used the R31 dump on the RB25 turbo
  22. Adjustable fuel reg might get you there with the standard injectors.I'd say go GTR injectors to be safe.
