  1. Valid points. What kind of $ are we talking for one of these big block joints you're talking about, and are the houses on them rentable as is or they gonna need work straight away? What kind of weekly rent $ are we talking?

Think I can spend around $400k, maybe more now as I'm in a better position than I was when I got the pre-approval done

  17. If I went for another skyline I think it'd have to be a 34GTR... But knowing it'd be highly modified and stand out aesthetically, means I'd more than likely get raped by the po po and I can't be f**ked with all that EPA/RWC constantly...

I'm not saying it's not a nice looking car, just that there's nothing really done to it that make it look any different from the other 3 million S2 R33's around, apart from the wheels, which aren't included. The thought of buying a skyline sometimes crosses my mind... If I was to go down that path instead of something much pricier like M3/AMG/35 GTR etc, it would more than likely turn out to be quite an animal.. But alas, I think those days are behind me
  19. Take away the wheels (which he's doing) and it's pretty much a lowered, resprayed 33 with 4 door front lights... Not a lot going on in the mods department
  20. How'd you go about getting such a low rate and in writing? Variable? Who are you with now? Variable? Which bank?
  21. I rarely go to the branch, i'd say maybe once every month or two if that, and it's usually on an RDO so rarely busy anyway.. I'll have to call up and see what they'll offer... It'll drop to 4.75% on the 13th but pretty sure Tobes said he was getting like 4.45% before this latest cut
  22. I don't even know what the comparison rate means. If it's not the rate I'm getting, why are they quoting it? What service is that exactly? I'm not unhappy with CBA, apart from wanting a lower rate, but apart from actually lending me the money, they don't really do anything else for me service wise.. Plan is to keep it as a rental if/when I move onto something bigger/better ... I gather a fixed rate loan with a 100% offset account means my extra repayments may be capped, but I just put that money in the offset account which is the same as paying it straight onto the loan anyway? At the moment I just put it on the loan (pretty much just use my home loan account as a savings account)
  23. I don't wanna go fixed and have the repayments capped... What's a realistic variable rate to go for Hamish/others with lower variable rates than me? I'll call em up and if I can't get it or near it I'll bite the bullet and change banks. Might move all my accounts, credit cards, insurance etc too
