I'd always pay on a first date. It's nice if they offer (genuinely) but I'm paying either way. If their offer was genuine, I feel better about paying, but I'm paying either way.

There's always going to be stories about both types of schools... My high school could be labelled rough, but the private school around the corner the chicks were giving out blowies at lunch for $5 and dope being sold at lunch time etc...
