  1. i was thinking of getting a street bike to cut down on fuel for getting to work.. seriously
  2. im interested too, ive never been to one before, but id love to.. although i need a CAMS L2S licence. whats the go with getting that? if i can get my steering and breaks fixed up, im in
  3. i keep spoting this marone r32 in glenhaven on gleanhaven road, but he never looks or waves at me when i wave back... how rude
  4. my car surges when its cold and ya try and floor it.. but that im assuming is normal i dont think it would be fuel cut unless you trying to get past 180ks. as for spark plugs.. could be a miss, but if its a miss, that cyl would cause a backfire every time, mine did that when i got a drop of water on one of the coils once and it would arc out and not fire the sparkie on boost. check your sparks, make sure there gaped to the right amount.. think its 0.7 cant remember. but thats all i can think of off the top of my head, i havent had any dealings with AVCR's
  5. this is a good car! like others have said, it powers along very well and is solid on the road. ive been in it recently and when boost comes on, which is quite quick mind you, it just launches, its nuts haha realy worth it for 16k! very good buy
  6. ooo bugga not good mona. guess your going to have to save all you drinking money now
  7. yeh, mates rates are good. i got quoted 500 for mates rates including clutch cost for heavy duty.. so depends who your mates with, but ether way, be ready to pay mid to almost a grand :
  8. dang, is there much damage to the block mona?
  9. i think most places charge for around 5hours work, and at around 90-100 an hour for labour, you would be looking at $500 just for labour. thats what ive herd as ive never had to pay for it to be done because of the cost.
  10. a little late, but , happy birthday chris!!
  11. spoted craved yesterday arvo at round corner at about 4pm ish. waved but couldnt see if he waved back
  12. i is o so bored edit: oops wrong thread
  13. if your low on money also, ya can get a nissan patrol clutch for around $250 and they fit just fine. not sure on the part number, but you can get them at repco.. its like a standard clutch, so it holds up to about 200rwkw. its what i have atm, and isnt doing too bad, but if you want to ever take your car to the drags or track, i wouldnt advise getting it. does tend to slip a bit if you dump it. so realy its only a go between kinda job that youd wack in your self if you clutch decided to die badly.
  14. ive got brand new tyers on my 17s 255/40 and 235/45 i live up hornsby way but ill be happy to drive a little way if need be
  15. haha, thats y they didnt wave! oops
  16. the first printout was of what the settings where when i first got there and he haddnt changed anything. i saw that he had it on the wrong car, so i asked him to change it over. which he did and all it changed was the Min and Max values what where aloud. the 2nd printout is the final settings he put it to. yeh this one was a computer one too i think.. he attached the sensors to the wheels and then went under the car and ajusted the toe till it came up on the screen at the settings he wanted. the figures for the rear wheels are down the bottom of the page btw.
  17. haha oh well.. didnt think to do that.. hang on
  18. ohhh sorry, if ya wave big enough from the car i mite wave back just to be nice even though i have no idea who it is spoted wink today at castlehill around 6:30.. was stoped at the main lights on oldnorthen road b4 ya go past the piazza (sp?), waved, but he wasnt looking.... well i think it was wink, hahaha
  19. ok well just got the alignment re done... and the guess of 0% chance of getting them to fix it free of charge was out of the question.. dodgy ppl anyway, heres the results. they wouldnt toe it out because it was wearing on the inside already alot.. so he toed it in more to try and prevent it. but it was way past spec because it was already at max toe in for front..
  20. yeh they are worn, but still well above the wear limit on the outside. they where almost 2 months old when i went there to get a wheel alignment. and where still good.. and now, about 2 months laster, there totaly stuffed. this time with front toe out 2mm and rear toe in 5mm .. that should be right. not this carp
  21. just took a photo
  22. yeh i know its a long shot, but there is plenty of tred left on the majority of the tyre, but just the inside edge is totaly screwed. the car isnt lowered at all and is still running stock. and its gtst, so for the front to wear so badly the way it has, the alignment was totaly screwed nar he didnt print one out when i asked for it because he said he had already turned the machine off
  23. mm as far as i know anything more then 1" over stock size is a defect.. and a ovious one at that, like it isnt hidden away.. although 18" does look alot better... 17" would at least be legal, and one less defect
  24. i got my wheel alignment done about 2 months ago after getting the front shocks changed, and now 2 months later ive noticed that the wheel alignment was off and has warn bald the inside of my tyres, mainly the front drivers side and the rear drivers side.. but the others are well on there way. its only about 1inch in from the edge, but they are totaly had it. whats the chances of me being able to do a deal with the place that stuffed up my wheel alignment, and get them to give me a set of 2nd hand tyres as a replacement for the ones that they destroyed? would they have a record of my car being booked in to have it done from last time (january) ? its realy given me the sh*ts because b4 i went there, my tyres where farly new and now they are almost about to pop i wont mention where it was done just yet, incase they redeem them selves and replace my destroyed tyres..
  25. im in also.. somthing has to be done about this. i remember from the last thread where a guys r33 was stolen, that there isnt actualy any cameras down there and the shopping center wouldnt do a thing to help
